this. But I think he'd be a major league a-hole for using LSU like that. Mahtook, Ranaudo, and even Lee didn't say the things he said this close to the deadline.

The quotes from Gausman don't say he's coming back they just say that it's a tough decision and he could return.

He didn't say anything definitive like "I'll be back at LSU next year." Read only the quotes.

I understand the business end of it but the way he talks gets our hopes up. I don't like our fanbase being used as a negotiating chip. But I know the boxtards will support what any LSU baseball player does..

Looks like the kid who wrote it is an intern and he probably overreacted to what Gausman and his people were saying. Pretty sure a vet sportswriter would have seen it as a normal deadline smokescreen and not put that headline.

not saying you specifically are a boxtard but there are a lot of people who will support anything the baseball team does simply bc of who they are. There are some who think Sanchez actually earned his job. That's laughable IMO
