Kentucky always plays us tough in KY.
You ever heard the phrase “past performance is not indicative of future results?”
What happened there the last time we played there (5 years and 2 coaches ago) has absolutely 0 bearing on what is going to happen this weekend. We’ve completely turned over the coaching staff and roster multiple times since then.

Winning a game isn't about breaking an opponent's will.
Saban thinks it is. Here is how he defines “Mental Toughness”
quote:
Mental Toughness: Measured by what it takes to break an individual's focus, cause frustration from past mistakes, or make them give in under fatigue, heat, or physical discomfort.
The other points you made, about execution, etc, are also true. But breaking the will of one’s opponent is definitely what it’s about.

On 3rd downs KY is the worst conv team in the conf and also worst 3rd down Defense in SEC. We are top 3 in both. That’s the diff in the ballgame.
