I really don't like this umpires zone. But to be honest I haven't really liked the zone for most of the season.

He probably figured the ump would call him out. He was a good 4 -5 feet towards second.

He literally could have just walked back to first. Once he touched the bag and made his turn towards first base line he was safe. Just like running thru the bag.

I'd rather Jones try to make something happen himself than leave it up to an umpire. I thought it was a heads up response to an unfortunate spot he found himself in

Still weird that we have so little hits for the amount of runs we have. Mainly cause Crews got robbed of two extra base hits.
