Yea I know. Jay explicitly said he would be available to hit right handed and it was a pain tolerance issue to hit left handed.
It’s also been stated that he’s available to pinch hit today. If he can take one AB he can’t take two or three until they go to a right handed pitcher.
I’ve heard the same things you’ve heard and it just doesn’t make sense.
