Yorke’s fat arse has to make that play. And of course we can’t throw strikes again.

Did Guidry and Serbs get crossed?

Some of that is on Serna, but I bet a lot fewer would hit ground if the pitcher would throw the fricking ball where the catcher is expecting to catch it.

This team painful to watch when you can’t execute the basics

Why did they not call more fastballs on the walk to score a run? He got ahead on two missed fastballs and they called the next 7 pitches off speed until the count filled up.

I don’t know? Dropping easily catchable pitches has been a theme for LSU catchers this year.

Guidry is what he is. A spot reliever/closer who can go through the lineup once. He’s never been more than that and never will be. He’s not a starter. He’s shown that before and Jay needs to believe it going forward.

I understand someone has to step up, but he’s not that guy and this was a mistake.

This is the exact opposite of how we needed to start this game. Hope the damage is limited, but maybe this clarifies Guidry’s role now - he’s not a starter, he’s not a long reliever, maybe not a closer. I think his best role is going to be an awesome short relief, set-up guy who can get you 3-6 outs once or twice in a series.

They really need to coach Serna better on trying to steal a strike. Moving your glove 2 feet every time isn't going to cut it dude.
