I'm sorry but what was the point of stickying a post saying that Nuss didn't have a specific core injury when he had a different type of core injury ?
because there was a thread yesterday saying he had a torn oblique that got traction...this morning, Kelly was asked about the rumors of the nature of Nuss's injury and Kelly said for the first time that it was an ab strain, which is not as bad as a torn oblique...before yesterday, all we knew was that he had a upper torso injury...

You are confusing performance with health. Supposedly he was held out if a bunch of practices in the fall leading up to game 1. And now he’s cleared.

He was “cleared” just as much then as he is now. That’s why he would sit out of practice then play in a scrimmage the very next day.

You are missing the point.

He was limited at one point. He’s not limited right now.

Obviously that doesn’t guarantee high level of play.

That’s why you are confused. When Kelly says he’s on the back end, he’s not saying that he’s 100% or that the injury or the time missed is not having a negative impact.

heals pretty quick if not re-aggravated

So, sitting out the SELA game would’ve hastened healing, then, correct? Ridiculous. I loathe Brian Kelly.

If the injury is affecting his play, then I still consider it an injury. I don’t really care that he is able to run through drills at practice if it’s still limiting what he can do on the field.

Also, I would say he’s limited right now considering he literally isn’t practicing.

I wish we pulled him as well but a stretch to say it lost the game. Game wasn't as close as the final score indicated.
Would you say the best part of the team is the defense?

Because if so, the offense scored on a long drive, to get within 1 score with over 5 minutes left in the game.
That puts the defense- best part of the team- on the field to get a stop, and get the ball back with a shot to win it.
We even got it to a 4th down at just outside FG range with over a minute and a half. We failed to hold... but with that much time left, we have the skill players (Brown, Thomas, Hilton etc) with speed to get it to around the 40 or 35, and then from there you could try some jump balls to our 6'7 TE.
It's absolutely possible.

You are getting lost in the weeds. Obviously he is still injured. Obviously it is affecting him physically.

The question that needs to be answered is if he’s the best option moving forward. And because he’s not “limited” (meaning unable to practice) when he was before, the coaches think that there is improvement in the near future.

Your post is a good example of the misunderstanding. Just like Chicken wasn’t saying ther was zero injury, Kelly isn’t saying that Nuss is 100%. He’s saying that hes improving, he’s practicing, and because if that (and what he thinks of MVB) he’s the best option moving forward.

Damn, Nuss threw his heretofore best WR baller into a fricking car wreck…

Bro, your reading comprehension is cooked.

All muscle tears are strains, but not all strains are tears, grade 1 strains are OVERSTRETCHED muscles. How did you not get that from my comment?
