Nothing is a guarantee. But you have to play the hand you are dealt.

Are you suggesting we have a better chance of winning 11 with MVB?

No idea. I asked two days ago but all I got was "he doesn't have a torn muscle and the surgery rumors are just rumors"

Yeah right. If an injury is the reason he’s playing so bad, then it looks like he might as well have injured himself 15 minutes before each game.

So, he hasn’t ever tried it before? This can’t be real, right?

No, but I’m not sure why a hurt or injured Nuss would play against opponents like LA Tech and SELU when you know how difficult the schedule is going to get.

If you cant beat either of those teams with MVB, there’s a big problem.

Knowing what we know now and what Coach Kelly has known, this comes across as a complete mismanagement.

I mean nobody thought there was any reason to sit him for Tech. He had just led us to a win against Clemson and presumably he was improving.

As for SELA I wanted him to sit too. We knew about the injury by then. But it later came out that the staff thought a lot of the offensive inefficiencies were related to Nuss being unable to practice. And they wanted to take advantage of that week by playing instead of resting.

You have to consider that the issues we are seeing may not all be physical. It could be physical AND a residual rustiness from the lack of time he had in fall camp.

It’s impossible to know for sure. But if you listen to Kelly, he pretty consistently says that the injury issues were worse earlier and he’s on the “back end”.

this is the first time that Kelly specifically said it was an ab strain. The user yesterday said it was a torn oblique… Very different so I thought it was interesting enough to post what came out of Kelly's mouth today. Feel better now?

Im with a 100% healthy Nussmeier, but if he wont run and cant make all the throws then its time to sit him and let him heal.

I didn’t listen to the teleconference. The AYS Sports post was lacking context

Kelly knew he wasn’t healthy.

Except that the worst he has looked was against Ole Miss. This is the back end?

He just played a game at Clemson.

You are confusing performance with health. Supposedly he was held out if a bunch of practices in the fall leading up to game 1. And now he’s cleared.

I'm sorry but what was the point of stickying a post saying that Nuss didn't have a specific core injury when he had a different type of core injury ?
