I’ve already mentioned this a few times but Bianco raised his family in Oxford and has lived there 20 years. He is ole miss baseball. I’m sure he loves LSU too but going to his arch rival and potentially winning big kind of tarnishes his life’s work and ties.

What I’m really saying is that Mike needs to enjoy the square while Dan Mcdongoat wins us three natties

That’s exactly how I feel.

There’s been multiple reports that he’s already been interviewed and was extended an offer then yesterday Rabalais reported that he was supposed to interview today.

I honestly don’t think Bianco’s the guy.

Of course he planned a vacation for the week of omaha

I mean it could have just been a vacation for whenever their season was over. But yeah it is kind of funny.

Afterwards, Bianco and his wife, Cami, packed their bags and headed out for a long-ago-planned trip to the beach. He’ll be gone until Sunday. So, no, Bianco wasn’t in Baton Rouge earlier this week for an interview. And, no, he’s not expected at LSU for an in-person interview in the next few days, despite previous reporting to the contrary.

Wait...they planned a trip when he might possibly have been heading to Omaha?

He owns the condo. Once season is over he can go whenever he wants to. Not much planning needed.

This is a canned AD piece that signals nothing really - the Gilbeau article forced it.

The longer this takes I feel like we’re gonna go hard for Vitello

Just my feeling based on today’s news… we’re going after Corbin, and Vitello/McDonnell are the Plan B and Plan C if Corbin stays put.

Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but that’s what I’ll go with today

Just seems like if Bianco was the man it would’ve happened or there would be more smoke.

I think it's Vitello #1, Godwin #2. I don't think it was ever anyone else. Vitello isn't the kind of coach who shies away from the expectations. He knows if he wins at LSU, what that would mean. If he gets us back to how we were in the 90s...which of us would turn that down?

I talked to someone last night about McDonnell who had a lot of business dealings with Dan when he was coaching in Oxford and the two are still very close and even take vacation trips together.

McDonnell's wife is going to put the ax to any move to Louisiana. You can ago ahead and put this to bed.She would love to move back to Oxford and retire there, but Dan isn't going to coach and recruit against two of his closest friends with one of them being in the same state as he would be in and bitter rivals. So he isn't going to Oxford either.

We need to just go ahead and hire Godwin. It's a solid hire and a fit.The upside to Godwin is much higher than Bianco.

Okay. But Carter clearly said “long-ago-planned”. Add that in context with a guy that is routinely booted from the tournament in the Supers, and I find that quite humorous.

IMO if we are indeed prepared to offer $3m per year as has been speculated, we are aiming much higher than Godwin.

Carter read the Rant and updated his wording lol
