It appeared to me that BK made an exception to his rules in accommodating Boutte at the beginning of his tenure, coaxing him back into the fold, offering him the 7 jersey etc.
Truth is, many WR would have been benched after petulant performances and quitting on plays in the first few games. And then, there were dropped passes.
The program will be better without Boutte.
And BK is likely kicking himself for the decision he made to mollify an immature, selfish player, who never quite lived up to his Billings, except in one game, two years ago

It was not very careful thought.

Thank goodness. Good bye to bad rubbish.

He was useless and a distraction. He won’t last in the league. He’s too selfish and you can’t get rid of that.

Dude has zero character and it’s been obvious all year and yet some of y’all wanted so hard to believe his post about coming back was 100% set in stone. I got down voted for days for saying I wouldn’t hold my breath he can always change his mind. Thankfully WR is the least of our worries we won’t even notice he isn’t here. Hopefully he puts forth more effort in the NFL for somebody

Sorry to hear it. I wish him well.

Not sure what he’s basing the decision on though

I wish I could have seen what he could do/ His production was very limited here. I just never saw what all the fuss was about with him.

Our program remains dysfunctional. It's not that he declared for the NFL draft, rather it is the chaotic manner he did so.

The player remains dysfunctional, he hasn't made a correct decision in 3 years, which is why he should have been gone last offseason.

Can't show up for games
Show's up and can't produce
Bitches during interviews and on the field
Gets women pregnant halfway through college
Gets paid to play and still can't play
Flirts with other teams
And apparently couldn't pass classes, I'll give that one an asterisk with a strong emphasis on past history

Someone asked a few days ago of the old timers like me if you were just as excited about the game now as back then. Because of this crap not knowing who is on the team and opting out. Hell no.

You won’t even know he’s gone. Was never a factor this year and would have been less of a factor next season.
Honestly wondered why he was coming back. There are other better receivers on the team now and even more superior talent coming next year. He was not an asset of any sort.

Good luck young man! Probably the better decision when you need to support a young family in this economy. The G team isn’t going to pay your medical insurance for your wife and kid. Could have been an amazing LSU 2023 season, best of luck to you!

Doesn't want to waste another year with a QB scared to throw. Right decision.
