I can't find anything online of this Russian gal openly supporting Putin or the war. Criticizing the war will get you locked in Russian prison for a decade or longer. This Ukrainian broad seems emotional because her Dad is in the war and lacks the understanding of what is really happening

russian tennis players play each other but I guess it's different as they are individuals not teammates

I think there are three parts to this question:
1) Is the team better with Koval or Ana individually? The answer appears to be a consensus in favor of Anna.
2) Would the team have been better if another talented big was recruited rather than Ana (i.e. Kate doesn't leave)? That answer depends on how good Ana is and if it covers for the depth we are short now.
3) Did Mulkey just assume this would work if she waited until after the transfer portal closed to tell Kate? Thinking she had no option but to stay?
