Vincent also said he's working with the kickoff return unit.

quote:

Vincent played 609 defensive snaps last year and only rushed the passer six times, per @PFF_College.

He did get two sacks and a hurry in those six snaps, though.

quote:

Kary Vincent says he's worked almost exclusively at nickel this fall, thanks to young corners stepping up.

"Cordale Flott, he has a knack for the ball. He's been punching balls out all camp. Raydarious Jones, he's real physical. And Jay Ward is great in coverage."

quote:

Kary Vincent on young DBs: "The standard here to play is to play young. We've always played freshmen. When I came here, many freshmen played. So that's the standard. If you want to play, you've got to be in your books and you've got to know what's going on."

quote:

More: "The coaches have put me in a lot of positions to make a lot of plays this year. We've opened up our playbook. We've really opened up our defensive playbook this year, so you'll see me doing a lot of stuff. I won't just be in coverage this year, I'll tell you that."

quote:

Kary Vincent: "I feel like I'm the fastest player in college football. I know that, to be honest. This year, I plan to really show that. I feel like I haven't showcased my speed on the football field as much as I'm capable of. This year I plan to do that."

Vincent also said he's working with the kickoff return unit.

"Vincent clocked a 10.07 100-meter dash (+2.6 wind) at the 2019 LSU Invitational at Bernie Moore Stadium. Vincent's time is tied for the second-fastest in the NCAA this year"

The Week 12 team features a pair of SEC defenders: Tennessee CB Marquill Osborne and LSU CB Kary Vincent Jr.

Vincent Jr. edges out FSU’s Stanford Samuels as they each share 89.0 overall grades this weekend. Vincent, however, was more dominant in coverage, seeing five targeted passes against Arkansas, allowing just one reception. He pulled in an interception himself and two more pass breakups, all told, leaving him with a lowly 10.0 passer rating when targeted.

I know it’s the offseason but quotes like this get my balls tingling for some football.

This on paper is one of Aranda’s most talented defenses.

He’s on the short list of just nicest human beings on the team. It’s hard not to like Kary.

Flott and Ward could come in and play in the latter part of the season from what I've seen. Raydar has very good measurables, but will take time to transition from QB to CB, but he's very physically gifted. Flott and Ward are why I'm not too concerned about depth at CB compared to last season.

That's cool. but I swear I don't understand this dude's account. It's constant and just comes across as a politician trying to win over people. Can we seriously stop this shite?

Good to hear.
A lot of us do not get to interact with players, so hearing who is a good guy really gives more depth to support for them.

I am a little surprised he hasn’t had a bigger impact so far. Some times it takes a little longer for a guy to find his niche. Just was expecting it to happen sooner with him. Hopefully this is his breakout year

Radar reminds me of a lighter in the arse tharold Simon just real lengthy long arms. Jones has more speed and quickness and has the higher ceiling but Simon's instincts made up for his lack of speed. Feed this kid and get some meat on dem bones

I think Mike D is an NFL scout. Not sure, but he loves him some Raydar. And so do I. He has even compared him to Greedy.

I don’t do the whole twitter thing so I haven’t seen this but I remember when he was being recruited and this dude is funny. Always cutting up and having fun. No doubt he is one of the vocal leaders on the team. He will be a star before he leaves here.

He played 609 snaps last season. Sometimes when you don't hear a player's name called and forget about him, it is a good thing.

I still remember that great one handed interception he made his freshman year. IMO he has been consistently the most underrated part of LSU's secondary.

I wish they had of done an exclusive video of just him and his reaction to the new locker room. He was happy and animated as could be in the locker room and by the pool.

Like a kid at Christmas. I don't know him but he appears to be a good person.
