He may not be long enough. That has always been the issue.

He is slimming down and getting rid of some of that jiggly. He looks solid and hope he keeps it up!

At least we won’t have another Arden Key attitude.

The crazy part is that Arden Key was just like this. He came in in fantastic shape. People raved about his work ethic..... Then drugs happened.

I mean no disrespect...he is a great player and honna be a great Tiger.
I dont think his lower body is ready to start. He has work to do with his feet and needs big improvements in lower body strength. I don't think losing upper body weight is enough.
I think it will take a year in the weight room to be where he needs to be to be a starter in the SEC

I guess if they had a need at right tackle, Thomas could play there. At 6' 2" though, his natural position is guard.

I see him competing with Hines and Campbell at left guard, Damien Lewis is locked in at right guard.

I don't see Thomas starting unless someone gets hurt, you never know. It sure is nice to have some quality depth.

I think Hines will be tough to beat out, he played very well as a freshman.

Hines might be at RT with Thomas at LG

all I know is that Deculus has been such a disappointment (to this point) at RT

This is the same guy from a year or so ago who had a video doing a workout on his porch, right? He looks like he's slimmed up and gotten stronger. That young man is going to be a beast.

It’s extremely difficult for a freshman to start on the o-line in college and I doubt Kardell will either but he looks fantastic. You can tell he’s lost weight. He looks to be down around 325-330 compared to 350. Still, he will have to beat out guys like Lewis, Ingram and Hines and that won’t come easy.

First three player Moffitt brought up for being breakout stars this off season on were Deculus, Charles, and Cushenberry!

one thing you have to love is his attitude. coach O said we need attitude - nastiness and meanness on the Oline. Kardell will bring it and it looks like he'll be the type to pull the other guys along. doubtful he'll start but he'll get some playing time.

he'll have a good career, barring injury.

Hines and Thomas will not play RT. They are both 100% guards.

we have 8 guards and no tackles, so someone has to play tackle

He's not a tackle and that would indicate a near disaster for the Oline

I understand that. Just saying neither Hines or Thomas will be that guy. Both are pure guards.

I was hoping to hear Rosenthal had jumped into the mix. The staff thought he was a future OT star due to his athleticism and measurables. But, if two of the breakout players are Charles and Deculus maybe OT will finally be a position of strength.
