This. Florida is the worst SEC team we will play. It was a dog fight AT HOME, AT NIGHT until the end. Fun to be 3 - 0, but we are horrendously coached on offense.

Kelly is like a petulant kid who throws a tantrum at his parents after being questioned about why he made a D on his math test. His only answer is to scream “I passed didn’t I?”

Don't care what he say's to the media.. As long as he lights a fire under the offensive players and coaches is all that matters. I'm pretty sure this will happen.

Saw his reaction a few times last night after some plays, didn’t look real happy
—But that’s on him. He picked the OC, so he’s responsible for the poor offense.
It’s not the reporter’s fault. He chewed out the reporter more than Sloan, I bet.

Also did you notice the “this team is 17-1 at night, how bout some appreciation”
This team isn’t 17-1 at night hell not even the seniors are…HE is 17-1 at night and HE wanted some appreciation.

Completely agree. I lost a lot of respect for BK with the way he entered that press conference. He acts like every SEC game and win is the hardest game of the year.
I would say the offense had 1 good drive all game people were pleased with. Outside of that we had 2 plays: Sharp long pass and Durham long run. We got 0 points out of both of those plays.
Our offense with a 5th year QB and stud playmakers scored 13 points on a team that’s gonna be below .500. Vandy might be better than UF this year.
It was a VALID question. It wasn’t rude. It’s pointing out the SINGLE flaw on this team right now that could stop us from winning a national championship, so you better bet they’re going to ask about it

Curious as to what he attributes a 17-1 night record to? Would he be 17-1 if those same games were played during the day?

Ok the lack of offense is striking, and sure he has to get it going. As coach, it's up to him to not dwell on it with the media, seeing as we're 3-0.
But christ, we have a defense, are 3-0 ranked 3rd, put down sunbelt Billy's best efforts, and look forward to a presumptive playoff run. Nuss and/or playcalling has regressed, but CBK has shown he can put together an offense. Now a defense. Even some solid special teams now. And they're playing well with each other to get wins.
It's eye rolling and even a bit frustrating, but you don't fire a mf'er for being top three and going 3-0.

So you want to wreck a season that we have a legitimate chance to go deep in the playoffs?
Hahahahahahaha!! In order for us to even make the playoffs the offense will have to improve DRASTICALLY! I think we would all agree on how great the defense has been, but that alone will not be enough to carry this team to a championship in my opinion. As great as the defense has been is equivalent to how bad the offense has been.

Doubtful.
You watched the clip ESPN is showing. Or you are suffering confirmation bias for a coach you don’t like, or you aren’t capable of reading a room.
Kelly was annoyed that after a huge hard fought win for his team that the very first question was a negative one about the offense, which is clearly struggling. True.
So yes he made a point to defend his team and focus on the positive while making a show of it.
But clearly many in the press room understood and were laughing along at the education of their colleague, and made jokes throughout the rest of the press conference, with Kelly hyperbolically praising the “excellent questions” that followed as they all played along and one later asked for permission to ask a certain questions and Kelly jokingly bantered back.
Was he frustrated, yes. Does he have a daily working relationship with the local press in that room and feel a certain ability to banter with them, especially after a win? Absolutely yes.
Does he know he likely messed up not replacing Sloan and that will possibly cost this team from reaching its full potential, yes. Does that make him even more frustrated than the question? Absolutely yes.
Is the national media in tune with how Kelly interacts with the beat reporters in Baton Rouge? Absolutely not.
Had that question come toward the end after he had a chance to praise all that went well he would likely not have had that reaction. In fact he spoke more critically about things that didn’t go well as it went on, but the initial question in the aftermath of an important win definitely touched a nerve. But reports are that the sports reporter that writes about college football will survive the assault, despite initial concerns he would not

CBK following the Saban way. Sure it works here and everywhere. The process. Saban knew he had to control the narrative and stop the sky is falling modus operandi of LSU nation,.
