Catastrophe syndrome
That’s referred to as “1-9-12 syndrome” on this board pal.
Saban said this about LSU more than a decade before that. This has been an ongoing LSU issue for quite some time.

The rantards here are about 2% of the fanbase. This place is a cesspool of negativity and clueless idiots. There’s a bunch of people here who enjoy the attention they get when trolling everybody. This place needs a purge in a bad way

Two observations
1) a lot of our fans don’t watch any college baseball other than LSU games.
2) Louisiana seems to have more than its fair share of people with inferiority complexes

Catastrophe Syndrome becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy on a personal basis. People who fear the worst tend to give up when they get behind or after a slump. They are called "losers". "Winners" keep fighting even though they realize they won't always win, but they will come back and win a few that the losers would have given up on. This Tiger team came from 5 and 4 runs down the last two games to win. They are "Winners". Enjoy them, and if necessary learn from their attitude.

LSU is in a slump
We just averaged 10.67 runs per game this weekend. Hard to say thats a slump.

No team is above critique. However, to exclaim the teams outcome, or players being bad, etc. based on part of a game is wrong, but often done here.

This is absolutely true.

It prevalent before then for sure. The Curly and Dinardo tears scarred the fan base.

No one is more miserable about LSU than LSU fans.

Its because they say what they want and hide

Is it really a gripe to focus attention on the few deficiencies that this team has and want to improve on them? This team is 1 to 2 solid arms away from being almost unbeatable. Who doesn't want to be error free as well. It's always a huge accomplishment to sweep any SEC series, but also who doesn't want to improve where improvement is warranted?

ALA is a top 3 SEC offense in average and a top 5 SEC team in ERA. They're a solid team..better than their record reflects. And we just swept them, for our 7th straight SEC win on Sunday. #1 in the country all year for a reason, I love this team.
To be fair, there are areas of concern.. for me:
- pitching depth(though the return of Ackenhausen and Coleman, plus improvement of Thatcher are all big positives)
- sacrificing defense for offense...Tre plays a good LF, but there are times we miss his glove at 1B for sure. But obviously we want to keep Jones in the hitting lineup. I also worry about Tommy at 3B. Part of this is the not knowing what the injury is...because I feel like ALA was specifically targeting him on their bunt attempts this weekend, they just couldn't get the bunts down. Tommy seems to lack the confidence to make athletic moves with his legs(heard it was a leg injury?). He seems to be very careful running the bases. But it's obviously not affecting his bat. However, my concern is the defense. Lastly, Dugas..we know his was a shoulder thing. He clearly is avoiding diving head first for anything, which makes sense. But he's not made some plays he probably would have pre-injury. I do think Kling returning is a nice boost defensively and overall if he can get the bat going again.

It’s called the rant for a reason. Go elsewhere for level headed people.
I get that...but the incessant bitching and general ignorance about baseball in general makes this not a fun place to be during games. It would be nice to have an intelligent baseball conversation with people...and there are some here who are intelligent, but the dipshits far outweigh the knowledgable posters.

Just caught the post game / series press conference & CJJ & 4 of the players all said that bama has an "Omaha offense". Milazzo said their first 6 were the best hitters they've seen this yr. People keep forgetting how good this league is & to be leading the conference, as LSU has all year, says a lot, that is being ignored. And no one talks about LSU having the best coaching staff in the conference.

Some of us have seen this rodeo before (we're old).
LSU is never out of a game. They've had countless comebacks over the years.
People giving up in the first, second, third inning because LSU is behind is nothing new. Been happening for decades.
With age comes wisdom and maturity. OK, well, maybe not maturity.
