So LSU needs a real OC so Les stays away.

execution was not the best.
This is the problem.
This same staff was at the top of FBS in margin of victory in 2011 and the players haven't executed the plays called in the attempt to "open up" the O.

I'll add The Rant was clamoring for pro set, Mettsiah and increased pass attempts.
Well Rant, you've got it, and all you have to show for it is lower production in PPG, YPP, 1st Downs, TOP, and a tired D that can't protect a lead.
2011 would have skulldrug every team on the 2012 schedule

Les gives stud a list of plays for that game's script on Tuesday and Wednesday..and Stud calls from that list. Everyone wants a new OC. If LSU got Kevin Sumlin and Mike Leach as Co-OC's the offense would still look the EXACT same. Stud simply calls plays from a list provided by CLM. Not hating on Miles, im simply saying that a changing of OC's will yield little difference if any in the scheme. Bowling Green didnt have this scheme when Stud was there.

But it is his oline. An oline that has underachieved every year that he has ben here. Stud is a poor teacher of technique and basic pass blocking fundamentals. The only improvement this oline showed was when Ben Wilkerson was here. So, now you have taken the worst oline coach in the SEC and made him split duties as an OC. Complete madness!

The play calling on offense has been in question for a long time.we can't keep living off our defense every game.

Then Stud went stupid and threw 3 times on that last drive and cost us the game.

If it was 3 straight runs, you'd be bitchin 'bout vanilla, clouds of dust, etc.
It was a bad series because it wasn't executed for shite.

Coaching can take you only so far.
I saw some 1st qtr stunt problems, but you do have to line up across from real D lineman and the OL have to execute vs BCS quality DL.
At some point you just have to admit the talent LSU fielded just wasn't as good as hoped this year.

The correct term is "couldn't care less" because if you could care less, it means you care.

Lets think about this...fisher,croton,stud all run old michigan style offense..uhh no..just one idiot does...LES
Fisher pro style, croton pass happy @BYU,La Tech but gets to LSU and runs the ball straight up the gut...
go look at film when Bo was coaching,Les was playing....it will show you why we stink on offense..running up the 2hole when the defense is geeked up for the run..aint happening. Why do other teams run the 6 hole(off the OT butt) on long yardage and we go right up the guards butt.. ..if you werent around to see michigan when they use to just pound it down the opp throat(early 70's when they had all the talent)...old big 10 ball is dying, hell WIS throws the ball now...We need Les to recruit the talent, but get an oc to use the talent. His biggest tasks should be what blade of grass he eats, what hat he wears, and what gatorade the tigers drink for the night. HE IS OUR OFFENSE AND ITS POO!!!!

Agree-- a real OC would help, but he should insist on being able to call the plays himself, without Miles limiting his play selection & overriding him.

Some fresh blood at OC could give the offensive players some hope for next season.

This

quote:

While LM as would any head coach has huge influence on the Offensive gameplan each week, to suggest the OC also has no influence would suggest either 1) LM leads by an autocratic dominant leadership style (which is not correct) or 2) LM lacks confidence on the OC ability to formulate a gameplan. If the latter is true, then get a top notch OC, pay them the way we pay a top notch DC, have input to the process to synergies decisions about the gameplan, but otherwise, empower the OC to drive the influence and decisions for the O and hold them accountable for the results. That's what leaders do.
