I would totally get behind Orgeron catching a fine for blasting that call in one of his media sessions this week. Just bring it up once, get behind White, call out the shitty officials and the SEC, and then you don't have to mention it again.

I think O has done a great job this year, but if I'm being honest, I think he sucked last night in regards to this response to the call. On the post game he said he didn't see the play. Are you freaking kidding me??? They showed it multiple times on the big screen, the crowd was going nuts and the QB of your defense's immediate future in the Bama game was riding on the call and you, the head coach, claim you didn't see it??

That was not acceptable. If you allow yourself to be shite on, you'll get shite on over and over. And then he said he could have got upset, but it wouldn't have done any good and probably would have just got penalized. How about having your player's back who gives you 1000% every play. Ok, I'm done being a bitch (for this post anyway).

Yeah I mean for a guy with such a fiery reputation, was yelling in his QBs face, cursing at some nobody for the sideline warning, he sure zipped up quick during perhaps one of the biggest calls of the game that will actually change the complexion of the biggest game of his career.

Would have been nice to see some fire there for sure.

If you’re waiting for our nutless AD or our snowflake libitard University President to react, you’ll be sorely disappointed. They are too busy figuring out how to extract more money from the fans and how to screw the students to worry about the outcome of a game

Yeah, I understand the mentality now that we have to get the next guy ready, not dwell on it and overcome it. But you look for the head coach to defend you as a player and for O even after the game to say that he didn't see the play was extremely WEAK.

It seemed like everyone in the stadium was going nuts but him. Who gives a f*ck about being penalized. They penalized us 45 freaking yards on 1 play. What's another 15?? I just feel he didn't come to Devin White's defense. A player that came to LSU for games like LSU/Bama.

I think he knew how big a deal it was, and that there were probably more angles than the in-stadium replay, and so he knew the thing to do was save the avalanche for the appropriate time. You weren’t going to reverse the call, but you might get something done next week through other channels. And you’ve got to be the rock, keep your cool when others can’t.

There are no other channels. This is the SEC we're talking about. The same group who allowed Saban to discipline his own player for punching a guy multiple times during the game last week. Was that ref suspended for throwing a flag on the player (obviously seeing the punches - an automatic ejection every time), but not ejecting him. No.

you want someone other than your coaching staff doing that. Agreed that I'd like to see someone blasting, but not the staff. It can be highly detrimental to the team- they just need to move on and prepare for the next one. Proxies and admin should be the one's foaming at the mouth, real or not, for the cameras and letters.

Plus the coaches have to set the example of you don't let bad calls affect your play. If after the fact CEO were to be commenting on this days later, it sets a bad example.

HOWEVER, at that moment when the call was made Orgeron should have let the ref have it. On the field is when you protect/defend your players. I get the perception issue, they'll spin it as "Orgeron is mad because he got caught being dirty" or something like that. But after seeing the replay, he should be zero fricks giving and unloading to the point of ejection himself. The game was won and we were in the waning moments.

If he was sitting in your living room watching 12 replays I'm sure he would be just as sure as you are it was a blown call. From his angle it looked bad & if they reviewed it you assume it was the right call

In the stadium, they showed it a number of times. I often see coaches checking out the play before on the big screen when play is stopped for a penalty. We also have guys in the booth seeing the replay and talking in his ear.

It was still questionable from most angles which is why you've seen numerous people looking for a sideline view of the play. Coach O going nuts does absolutely nothing in that situation.

The former Chancellor of LSU? I guess he was responsible for hiring Saban here but I am uncertain he is in Saban's back pocket.

But the NCAA is unlikely to buck the SECs ruling without the SEC buying in (as a form of cover if there is enough media uproar). There is too much money involved for the NCAA to alienate on their 2 big cash cows (SEC, Big 10) in football. Those 2 conferenced pulled in 862 Million dollars in 2016. Pretty sure they'll be pushing a billion between them very soon, if not this year.

The biggest issue though is that the replays the coaches in the box are seeing is NOT the espn/cbs broadcast that the fans see. There are cameras set up that only broadcast for the coaches on both teams so alot of times the coaches dont get that one certain angle all the fans react to clearly showing the wrong call.

I was in the stadium and I only recall the replay being showed once. I almost missed it, and kept waiting for it to be shown again after all the boos started, but it never was.

I’m pretty sure what fans see in the stadium is the same closed circuit feed they see in the booth

Maybe it wouldn't have, but for Devin White, it would have been nice to see just an ounce of fire for his player.
