This might be one of the stupidest threads I have ever seen. Wouldn't doubt it if you have never played a down of football.

I never said that but he got truck over by a D-2 running back, I was wondering if there was any way safety of his size can stop better backs in the SEC one on one.

The rb was 230. It doesn't matter what division he plays in. It's called physics. When a heavier object( moving faster) meets a lighter object( traveling slower), the heavier object wins.

Anyway he can improve his game to stop the run?

Man, everyone gets "trucked" sometimes! Eric Reid can stop the run just fine. I remember last year when he blew up Trent Richardson on the sidelines of the regular season Bama game. Not to mention all the other big hits he has made.
He cant win every battle...

you ain't a cowboy til you've been bucked off

you ain't a racer til you've put it into the wall

you ain't a football player til you've been trucked

happened to me first time in my first game in gray-y fb, and happened a couple times since

I guarantee he won't forget that, and he will make someone else feel the same way at some point this year

I saw the title and thought, no way he catches any. Open the thread to realize he's a master fisherman...or is the OP being serious?

First off I believe this is Germanic.

Yes he got truck sticked by an inferior opponent. Does this mean he isn't good? No. Does this mean he can't do the job and make a play? No. Did a running back get the drop on him? Yes.

ETA: or is it Travis who played safety. I get confused on the two. It's early
I'm not as high on Reid as most on this board but one thing I can't deny is that he always makes a big play when you need it in the passing game and plays lights out in the running. To me he is Charles Danielesq

Idaho is pretty much D-2. Make no mistake.

Actually I think he got trucked twice vs Idaho. He made some poor tackle attempts and hasnt looked like himself a few times this year.

If Kenny Hilliard played D2 defenders would be able to handle him better? That was a very good, athletic running back who made a nice play, and surprised Reid by initiating the contact to his left. Reid thought he had the free shot. Great instinctive play by a very good RB to beat an All American candidate safety. Props to him.

Attention, LSU Tiger football players:

Never make an error, or even anything which looks like an error.

Otherwise, Duzz and his ilk of perfectionists will broadcast it as a grave concern to the rest of the world.

All of our players are always better than every player on the opponent's team. So, if another team's player "trucks" one of ours, it's clearly a flaw in our player, who MUST IMPROVE in order to prevent it from happening again. It's so embarrassing for LSU fans, you see.

Don't care that he got trucked but he hasn't been playing that great in general this year.
