Great teams like Alabama and OSU play with the same intensity no matter who they play. LSU looked a little lackluster against La. Tech. They kicked it up a notch when they needed to and won the game, but the intensity wasnt there. Why not?

Exactly. Fans of every team say the same things. “Why do we play up or down to our competition?” “Why don’t we keep our foot on the gas?” These tendencies are a result of human nature. It doesn’t change when you cross a state line.

Hell, I watched the Auburn offensive coordinator at the press conference after the LSU game. And he made it clear that they are often criticised for not throwing to the tight end. Same old stuff.

Guess you didn't watch Alabama and Moo State last year?

Au vs Bama? Bama is the most talented team on the field no matter the opponent. If they are coached well, they should win. This year was the first time in 8 years they did not have the #1 recruiting class.

Don’t judge this team until they put the same offensive line on the field 2 weeks in a row. OSU is benifiting from an elite offensive line.

Well, I believe he was talking about offensively. OSU was up 56-21 with 12 minutes to go in the 3rd. After giving up 10 more points in the 3rd making it 56-31, their backups and 3rd string scored 3 more TDs in the fourth making it 77-31.

LSU doesn't score worth a shite, so we can't see any young offensive backups in the game late.

I wish people would stop using Alabama as an example. That team is on a different level than anyone else this season. Anyone you compare them to, they would beat by 3 TD’s.

Saban's philosophy is focused on the process. Each player has an individual goal to dominate his opponent each and every play. And if they ease up or take a play off, he loses his shite. He was screaming at them up by 22 with 13 seconds left last weekend!

Other coaches rely more on emotion. Actually most do. This isn't a knock on Ed. Also, people do not like to hear it but most coaches do not like to put things on film.

The worst part about that is that the entire offensive skill positions, minus RB Harris, will be back next year. The defense is also fairly inexperienced, especially the secondary and LBs. Unless some guys transfer out of the blue, their next team will be this year's team on steroids.

No doubt in my mind that Saban will have his best all around team by far next year, and it pisses me off.

no, it's impossible to bring 100% intensity every week for 12 weeks. It's just human - there are natural ebbs and flows of emotion from week to week. We feel it as fans, and the players certainly feel it too.

But that doesn't mean the ups and downs have to be DRASTIC, like they seem to be for us.

Other teams may be a little flat, but still play very well, so their ups and downs aren't as severe.

Ours seem to be very severe, and I don't quite get that.

OSU = same intensity every game?

Urban hasnt even been there this yr? Certainly you arent talking about previous years when they have shite the bed at home when everything mattered. OSU with their talent sdve been in the Final 4 as much as anyone in recent years. But they continue to lose a game or 2 every yr when favored.
Clemson wouldve been a much better choice to compare with the gumps in recent years.

Check their schedule again. Any team can be beat...any team any give Saturday. Let's see them get challenged first. That won't happen until they arrive in BR.
