Wouldn't it be the goal to be like that?
Great teams like Alabama and OSU play with the same intensity no matter who they play. LSU looked a little lackluster against La. Tech. They kicked it up a notch when they needed to and won the game, but the intensity wasnt there. Why not?

Sorry, but I love LSU! I also see how the fans are at OSU. My husband is OSU alum. There is a huge difference in the atmosphere. For example, OSU spring game 70-100K fans show up to support the team. LSU 3K. OSU fans dont leave early. LSU half the stadium is empty at the end.OSU no obnoxious fans around. LSU -my last experience was not the greatest plus I saw 1 LSU fan punch out another LSU fan outside the stadium. Also, Saban is big on fan support staying for the whole game and pushes for attendance at the Spring game. Great fans make a difference

My family attended the LSU-La Tech game...I am an alum and my son is a current student at LSU. We are not season ticket holders since we now live in another state.
I couldn't believe some of the fans! It is natural to stand up when a great play or a touchdown is made, right? Everytime we would jump up (and everyone in front of us did too) - the 2 guys behind us would yell for everybody to sit down! One was short and one had a bad knee. They made us totally miserable with negativity and complaints! There was a 10 year old seated next to us - it was his first LSU game - he was cheering a lot and these guys kept telling the kid to shut up! Come on....We are all on the same side! Don't ruin the game for people around you by being a complainer!...Oh, the worst part is he was spitting chewed up popcorn and throwing food at people..

It's obviously the culture....doubt it will ever change...part of the mediocrity.
I love the Tigers and I would love to see a top notch program of coaches, players and FANS!
Not if LSU has sights on being in the top 5. He's got a lot more personal development to do to be the LEADER they need a head coach to be

Absolutely! Whether you like coach O or not - the fans make a difference. The sum of two forces is greater than each force alone. I live in Ohio now and I can't be there but I would like to be. I was at the Troy game for family weekend....stayed until the Alma Mater was done at the end.
Geaux Tigers!
Agree with all that you said. Last year LSU missed a couple of opportunities to have a coach with a better rep. Coach O has never been successful... I was optimistic because he knew the team...just not sure he can lead LSU to the position they want to be in. They have talented players. LSU always recruits well. They need the coaching staff to develop them. The first onside kick in the Troy game was a bad coaching call after Troy changed their lineup expecting one. LSU should have then kicked deep. Bad coaching call on that for sure.
If you want to see and feel what quality is...go to an OSU game!Too bad LSU doesnt have it - mediocrity all around. Sorry, I love LSU but the truth hurts
Yes, it will take coach O some time to develop a top class team....if he can. His record as a coach hasn't been stellar. The coaching for the Troy game was definitely sub par. Let me also say this...LSU has good players, but they need the coaches that can develop the players. The fan base is mediocre as well - too fickle. Look at teams like Alabama and OSU...WOW! fans are 100% supportive - They show up and they stay - Saban publicizes that he wants his fans to stay throughout the game. I know that OSU and Alabama gets 70K-100K to show up for their Spring Games! Come on fans, be stellar and support the team! Maybe then they will feel worthy and show up themselves!
