Burrow played pretty poorly in 5-6 games that year. In fact his only two decent games before Arky were against La Tech and MSU.

Its not really
Coaches that can coach develop a QB in reading defenses and getting the ball to his playmakers
Coaches that are unsure of their system want a guy that can run around and bail them out of a bad play call
These type of coaches put their best "athlete" at QB. Its what you see in Jr High, High school, and flag football. That type of player requires little judging or evaluating, because youre putting the ball in his hands every single play. Just win baby!!
You win or lose based on the game that "athlete" has, not on the skill of the total team, or the design of the play calls

You need to go back to look at 2019 Burrow highlights and how many were backyard football after the initial read was covered.

You should apply for an nfl GM job then. Let them know you think Myles Brennan was awesome

I have 3 offensive coordinators within the family. I listen to them over the dinner table

Another example of a QB improving is Jalen Hurts. It’s possible for people to continue improving no matter how many starts they have. Who would have thought someone like Hurts could a candidate for NFL MVP.
Jayden needs to improve and I believe he can. I also want a true competition for the starting job next year. I want to play the best QB we have. I don’t give a shite if that’s Daniels, Nuss, Howard, or even Rickie Collins next year. Who will help us win the most games!

I'm sure you thought that was clever right up until the you saw "post submitted". Then you remembered who our coach was in 2019
EdO thought we were running the USC system. Then after that year we were running the Joe Brady system. He had no idea what to look for in a QB, and still ended up with a Heisman winner

O being an idiot is still irrelevant to disproving your point. Both Burrow and the #2 guy in the Heisman played in 1/2 read systems that then went to backyard football. All of this structure you're posting about isn't necessary to have elite offenses that win in CFB.

He’s inferior against talented SEC teams
He’s inconsistent but to flat out say he is inferior is dead wrong. We beat Bama, Ole Miss, and Florida due to very good QB play from him.
Idk if he’ll get better but we’ve seen enough flashes to know the talent is there

You can win a lot of games in college (and the NFL these days) with a run-first, throw 2nd QB. You just have to create a scheme that works
Name the last run first qb to win a national title or super bowl.

this is correct. Burrow had all the 2019 talent on that 2018 team, but it was under Ensminger's pedestrian offensive scheme.
Only when Brady arrived was all that talent unlocked
Exactly... ensminger was using archaic max protect to alleviate a pass rush which just invites more defensice players to the los and shrinks the field for the defense. Brady alleviated pass rush by spreading defenses out and making them defende the entire field. Brady didn't just get better.

Our system slid post-Bama and it led to issues.
What does thie even mean?
They have been running the same plays all yr

You have a point just look at the NFL. Scoring is at its lowest in 13 years even with every rule continuing to be tweaked in favor of offense. Why, bad QB play coming in from college systems. These players can’t make checks, can’t identify hots, can’t identify fronts and can’t read coverage because they aren’t taught to in college.

Not for all the Ascension Parish armchair qb losers, they all think they're pros at evaluating quarterbacks

Right, the OP is plainly baseless.
Les Miles judged and evaluated QBs for years and made it look effortless.

Joe Brady was not our OC
Joe Brady had nothing to do with judging and evaluating Burrow, in getting him to LSU

There’s a reason that transfer portal has become the best way to win immediately. And that is by plucking QBs with a few years of college development under their belts.
HS to College, College to pro are difficult evaluations and this is proven every year, year after year,

We aren't talking about titles here. This is about 2022 and 2023.
