Brady didn't want him,but didn't want the heat associated with refusing to take him, so he treated Josh like shite.

You’d think that would have been a priority after his dad. Sad to hear.

COVINGTON, La. (WVUE) - Former LSU men’s basketball player Josh Maravich passed away on Friday at his family home in Covington, according to LSU Athletics. He was 42.

He cherished his time at LSU, saying in a 2005 interview, “I wanted to come here for my dad to make him proud. I knew I wasn’t going to be a star player, but for me being a walk-on was what I always wanted to do.”

Born in Metairie on March 25, 1982, Josh is survived by his mother, Jackie Maravich McLachlan, her husband James, and his older brother, Jaeson. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Yeah, he sure did! But thankfully today’s John Brady that we hear during basketball broadcasts is finally a bit more mature. As a kid he was nicknamed “Crybaby Brady,” and the whiny behavior that earned him that nickname pretty much has been him for most of his life. My dad grew up in the same 1 horse town as him, and they competed in sports. Back then Brady was such a bitch. He was still a whiny bitch when he coached LSU. But again, I’m glad he’s a much better guy today.

Used to hang out with him back in the day.
He was always chasing this chick who was my gf’s roommate. He always had a video camera with him, and rarely drank (at least at our level).

I knew Josh well back 20-25 years ago from north shore and LSU days. I knew his step brother Mac Mclachlen also who I cant say enough good things about. I still have some friends that kept up with Josh recently.

So if you knew anything about Pistol Pete you know how much of a vibrant personality he had. Josh was probably even more so. You’d also know about the inherited demons that he had in life. Josh was not spared of these demons. From what I know his routine in the last month, weeks, day prior was no different than what it had been. I think his body just finally had enough.

Once you got past the things that were ailing him he was a really good caring guy. People like to describe people like this as a give the shirt off their back type person. But I know that there are times that this was literal for him.

RIP my friend.

I don't know if thats what got him, but he did have this struggle in life. One of the nicest treatment facilities in the country is only 2 hours away from Baton Rouge.
