If that were true, no way they pick culotta. He is too good on air and gets the best interviews. There would be at least 3 or 4 other people to cut before you get to him

My hope is that this wasn’t a firing, but instead ESPN tapping him for a promotion to a larger market or a national show, but they can’t disclose that yet for whatever reason.

Jordy would instantly be the best sports personality they have.

Don't set that bar too high now.

Not a good look for guaranty or LSU

I hate this fricking Twitter-regurgitated expression. "Not a good look". Yes, because Guaranty Media just decided to randomly fire a good employee for NO reason.

People frick up and have to be let go, whether you think it is a "good look" or not.

What if it comes out that Jordy was stealing from the company or doing some sort of illegal activity? Would it then rise to the standard for you to take the "not a good look" label off of it?

While you are spitting out Twitter catch-phrases, why not tell Guaranty to "be better" while you are at it.

You do realize the Baton Rouge ESPN radio is just a affiliation right? Guaranty pays ESPN to use the ESPN name. I would not hold your breath that Jordy is moving to Bristol.

Basically Jordy thought he was bigger than the team. That’s all it is to it.

He was just getting some pub too. From dickie V Tuesday and then they mentioned him during the b-ball game last night. Strange.

And how many times has Moscona had a coach on as a guest? LSU FB made him persona non-grata

You're missing the entire point. The point is that it is highly unlikely that Jordy was fired for shitting on LSU administration, because Mascona shits on them regularly and the worst that has happened is he doesn't get them as guests - but he's not fired.

Sucks. Being in BR, enjoyed listening to him each morning, even if I didn't agree with every take.
He hustled, and has gotten good interviews over the years.

Nothing but respect for James Ott but they’re phasing him out. He’s been in this market for 30 years and is content doing his gambling centric show for 2 hours at his favorite restaurants.

Time for some new blood

They should make a push for Ben Love

The only other possibility is that the station is getting killed financially due to COVID (which is probably true) and they had to make a choice of who to let go.

I'm getting tired of Scona too! He'll say the same thing 8 times in a row , and he acts like he has such sage wisdom.
