Internet experts: Can they actually make money doing this show on YouTube instead of on regular radio? How does this work? Will they try to convince advertisers it is worth their money to invest in this just like they did the radio show?

I'm in. This ought to be pretty good. Jordy unfiltered without the worries of upper management. Plus I enjoyed Rivers' when she was on the radio there.

The LSU theory never made sense. As long as Moscano still has a job, then LSU isn’t interfering.

I like Matt...and that’s a great point.

I'm no expert but it'll probably be a combination of ad revenue, sponsorship, and other subscription type services if I had to guess.
You also have to remember that the overhead goes way down in this format so it doesn't take as much to show some profit at the beginning.

I'm no internet expert, but the answer is yes. YouTube is a king maker these days. People are printing money if they get enough viewers. They can just do it in someone's garage with no overhead really.

Yep - once they get viewership up they go to advertisers. Probably have a few committed already I'd guess.

I like the way Rivers does most things.

if some random just started a YT morning show it would be tougher. Jordy has a solid rolodex of advertising clients and a decent following from his morning show. So it may not be a big pay cut for him but potential to do more
if he is successful, could be trouble for Guaranty and keeping its on air talent happy.

Yes, youtube membership to the channel (Like $5 a month for basic tier), donations to the channel during live streams, ad revenue on YT, ad revenue from sponsors of the show IRL, viewer count & engagement pays on videos outside of the live streams. They can do better if they have enough people following & watching actively.

That's what I was wondering.
One thing that gives him a fighting chance is he's relentless at getting guests for the show. If he can get high-profile (relatively speaking) guests he'll get some views. Maybe not the entire 1.5 hours, but clips on demand.
Perhaps he is trying to pull a Michael Scott Paper Co. where he undercuts 104.5's audience forcing 104.5 to hire him back at a better salary

yes, and they're not confined to BR.
Jordy has a massive, active contact list and he's not afraid to wear it out.
he'll get to go off topic on whatever he wants.
could be a great thing for him

shite I'd imagine his ad rates will be cheaper

They've got my views. Jordy was easily my favorite part of OTB, and I always enjoyed Rivers too.

He should have brought that fat chick Madison Gilmore along with him

I mean he has experience with this by doing Whiskey & Wine, and they had a local sponsor for that show

So no radio?
I’m not watching YouTube on the way to work.
