Guarantee you Os replacement list was made early on last year in case needed. Maybe even sooner.

Guy is down at fishing camp with a group and group see Ed O and his sons. Someone says off the cuff “he better win every game this year.” 10 minutes later, Ed O shows up at their camp asking “Someone got something to say to me?” presumably looking for a fight. Someone recorded this interaction and sent it into the LSU administration.

His buyout is due in equal monthly payments over the duration of the contract.

So at the end of this season the buyout is about $17m payable until the end of 2025.

The way I have read it, is $21m plus you have all the assistant coaches contract as well.... if they fire him now, he is owed all of this year's salary as well. Generally speaking.

https://fansided.com/2021/09/05/lsu-football-ed-orgeron-buyout-contract/

It was $27m after the 2020 season.

You’re one trick pony. What this thread implies is that CEO will be fired for cause, so your obsession with his buy out is moot.

I don't think Jordy was that big of a Coach O fan as many were lead to believe and was more trying to hustle the current regime for access

He all but said this on his Sunday night show. Said how they will probably want to black ball Jacques now because he tweeted out the exchange with the UCLA fan. And Jacques is just doing his job as a journalist.

He said you absolutely have to be careful of what you say and the questions you ask or they will 100% cut you out.

If you can’t handle criticism online then I don’t know what to tell these guys. Better hope you don’t get drafted by a NY team. If you don’t perform then people will complain. If you are a beast then people will love you. Deal with it.

There is nothing in the OP that suggest he is being fire for cause, which is stupid at this point anyway.

You appear to be upset to the point of making stuff up.

Yeah I’m just talking about O’s buyout, not assistants

O’s buyout started at $21m at the beginning of this year, but it’s already gone down based on his compensation earned this year. If he’s fired at the end of the season, his buyout is ~$17m

The buyout is irrelevant. We all know the number. There are other factors at play.

Culotta is obviously talking to the AD’s office and he kept talking about damaging the LSU Brand

It’s way beyond just the product on the field, CEO is Perceived to be damaging the LSU image

It reminds me of the final two years of the Dinardo era. LSU fans my age and older would relate to it. The program was constantly cutting access, and Dinardo became an unhinged egomanic.

Dead on and he became a raging control freak

No, if they fired him after this season he would be owed $21m.

He is owed $21m plus the remaining salary for the year.

How about ask why the defense appears as lost and incompetent as last year despite a change in coordinator? Did he ask that?

Oh the irony…all of these threads are quoting a streaming host who is basically just taking the LSU rumor mill on air and running with it.

They paid $4m of the remaining $4.6m, the contract is up... meaning there is no offset in future income.

Pelini could have taken the deal or taken the $4.6m in installments.

Not sure if you're serious.
