The man who decides to run the play or not. That's Ensminger.

Is it his plan? If we're using that analogy to accept or not accept then Orgeron is the true "playcaller" since so many here think there can be only one.

If you don't want to call the guy who's calling plays for Ensminger the playcaller, that's cool. But that's exactly what Brady will be doing a lot of this season.

But inevitably Brady will be on the headphones making the calls to the field this season, and it will be impossible to bend semantics around it.

He is the "expert" on the type of offense we will be utilizing, Ensminger is just going to be teaching him all the other aspects of being an OC.

All of this is bullshite according to the head coach. I think we should take his word over yours, no?

No its not.

Steves calling the game, Joe will still call some plays.

Ed Orgeron disagrees.

Love the idea and I hope he is right, but I typically tune Rodgers out.

But I'm excited about what Brady can add to our Tigers

Right. ^^Pro-style QBs.

So, Sark is going to turn Tua (an elite Spread/RPO QB) into a Pro-style QB? Good luck with that.

3 delay of games and 2 timeouts in the first quarter.

I meant CEO as in a chief executive officer, as in a business. As the head coach is also referred to as CEO, I can understand the confusion.

You don't know that Brady is going to be calling plays at any time this season. That's just pure speculation. What was said by the HC is that Ensminger is the playcaller. I have no reason to believe that will change this season.

I don't know why that's inevitable. It's just more speculation on your part.

I don't know about this. This is still Ensmiger's offense based on what the HC has said.

Why exactly would he turn Tua into anything other than what he already is?

Sark is a damn good OC and very creative

Do you think Sark doesn't know RPO/Spread concepts or something?

Yes. I think that.

Sark probably has 4 bookcase shelves full of notebooks on his area of expertise - the Pro-style offense. Sark won't change. He will "fix" Tua.

Again. Good luck with that.

So Brady is setting up the sequences and Ensminger is just delivering Brady’s play calls?

That seems unnecessary.

No, actually it doesn't.

Ensminger's experienced and has done this awhile, he probably has a decent feel for the flow of the game, but his playbook sucks. Brady is updating the playbook probably, and giving him a more creative set of plays to go with. Ensminger will choose which plays.

It's not a bad concept; it's like playing cards. Ensminger is the old pro who can bluff and show a good poker face, and Brady is bringing the analytics and card counting to that. If you can integrate them, it should improve the offense a lot. And Brady can get exposed to actual playcalling, so he'd be ready to take over "soon".

As an aside, I'd love to see Sean Payton have a crack at calling plays against Saban's defense. I think Sean would eat him up by the early second half.

I just think it shows how clueless the media is reporting on teams. No one has said that Brady will be the play caller. Ensminger is going to call the plays. O has said that Brady will suggest plays at times.
Brady's influence in the scheme is the important addition to the staff.
