Klatt is a tool and is a tool here.
He brings up FSU a team who had a game on us going into it and won on a blocked extra point at a neutral site.

That was our first game, while FSU had a game before that. But of course Klatt doesn't mention any of that, that game might have gone very differently if it were played this week.

I don’t know what he’s getting at. It’s like he has an idea for how a team should look being ranked #8.
I don’t think the #8 team has to look the same every year, it’s how they stack up against other teams this year. Who are you going to put in front of Tennessee?
Also, he has no problem praising USC in the top 10 who has played no one

Except for his comment about FSU. It is possible for LSU to now be better than FSU four weeks later. They were about even with FSU slightly ahead on week 1. Now that it's week 5 LSU has simply improved and FSU has kind of remained static. It is possible for teams to improve over the season. In fact it's a trait we look for in teams with successful seasons.

Never realized Klatt was such a dumb arse. SEC propaganda? The SEC has been the best conference in the country for two decades now. The numbers back this up and everyone knows this.

These talking heads act like a football team is a known quantity by their performance in Week 1 of the season. Teams are dynamic and fluid not static. Constantly improving or regressing as the season progresses. These freeze frame hot takes are worthless.

I think if there is a year where the top heavy argument could be used it might just be this year. I have seen a lot of SEC teams struggle/lose to much weaker schools.
But I would say it is not even close when it comes the best conference.
The fan bases, history, recruiting, strength of competition.

Lol I know. I think they’re all missing his point. If Tenn wins, it will be oh man “Tenn is back” or “Tenn won in Death Valley”..when in reality…we’re not that good of a football team. So to his point it wouldn’t be that big of a win because we are Mediocre at best. Now are we getting better? Sure.

That’s because he’s not. TN & LSU both have really good teams. Where they end up at the end of this month is why these games are so much fun. He doesn’t know anything more than you do. Florida State had an extra game when they played us. We played horrible and missed overtime by an extra point. LSU vs FSU now….different outcome.
