Was Freeman to turn down Head Coaching offer at ND? Something that took Kelly going through the wringer to get a job like that? Must be nice. Kelly had to prove who he was to get the job through winning at smaller schools and then had to rebuild it. Freeman walked right in to a successful program from the jump.

Klatt may be the worst analyst out there. I’m not joking, his tales rarely pan out.

I like Freeman, but they really haven’t faced a real challenge yet.

Army and Navy - while awesome stories, are not awesome teams.

A&M on the road looks good, but it was game 1. The Aggies were still all in on their eventual back up QB.

USC? They were a shell of a team at that point (and still challenged the Irish).

Indiana, with a back up QB, in a Notre Dame home game? They weren’t legit without their starter.

Georgia, with a backup QB who doesn’t even know the protections for his own position, was much weaker than with Beck.

The Domers are good, but as usual, they are being given more credit than they deserve.

They have a chance to make a statement in their next game.

We will see.

So if ND has the EASIEST path to the playoffs, why would Kelly leave if his goal is to win a Championship?

With the portal and NIL, how could you not be able to sell being a perennial playoff team and the exposure on a broadly televised national stage to the top recruits?
