unless they add at least 1/2 dozen creative plays to the playbook in the next two weeks, who makes the play calls will make little difference.
If the Oline isn't taught how to block and who to block, play calls will make little difference.

To sum it up. LSU's success coming out of time outs is 20% (4/20). 3 1st downs and a made FG.

(Success defined as 50% of the yardage on 1st, 75% on second, 100% on 3rd and 4th)

2 rushes that didn't get the required yardage, 1 fumble, 1 missed FG, 8 incompletions, 4 false starts, 3 1st downs, 1 made FG.

ZERO Touchdowns coming out of a timeout.

Who's going to coach the Offensive linemen if you fire Brad Davis? The OC can't coach the Oline, TE's and call plays. Think!!!

If you think Nuss doesn't have talent you're a moron. A good offensive coordinator would have killed it with Nuss arm talent - the scheme sucked and that's on Kelly and Sloan . You might want to add Davis to the crap pile.

I would just consider letting Atkins call the shots. He was OC at FSU and a few of his seasons there were very successful until last year's complete program collapse. It's just that our passing game and the calls have been atrocious. We had one pass between the hashes against Vandy. Just awful. So to me, I'd scrap whatever we had going on with the Co-OCs.

Maybe it was all Sloan, but I just want to move far away from that.

Have to get someone who is more old school in play calling. Cannot just call a go route every play and throw it up and hope our guy out jumps their guy. Need better mix of run & pass and way more slant patterns and across the middle routes. Make the secondary figure out who to cover & pass off.

The oline isn’t good enough, Nuss had 4,000yds last season with the SAME offense!

Nuss has bricks in his shoes, with the current oline the qb needs to be mobile.

Davis should be out too. Atkins to OL and Rattay OC

But

I assume Frank feels keeping Davis around til the end of the season will help with recruiting especially with Frank having a lot more on his plate the next few weeks. He absolutely needs to go at the end of the year.

This.

Davis is a good recruiter and the players love him. They need to keep him until a replacement is found to keep the roster and recruits together.

Been needing that to happen. It's actually crazy how bad this entire QB class is with how much they were hyped up.

Feel a little bad for Sloan...got stuck with a shitty o-line and mediocre QB
i dont.... an average gamer NCAA player would have called better plays....

Let throw bubble screens 6 yards behind the line. over and over.

Don’t feel sad. Sloan contributed heavily with the demise of a once proud offense.
