Should be an immediate improvement.

The former QB coach got saddled with a mediocre QB?

Seems self inflicted to me.

But ok what about the 3rd & call before half with no timeout? Did he not call that? What about the 1st & goal call for a QB draw?
The first one, I can't assume that was all on Sloan...maybe Nuss just wanted to get rid of it fast because he isn't comfortable in the pocket...

I was at the game and haven't yet had a chance to watch the replay.

No. We had no identity as a unit. The redzone offense was pathetic. No continuity in the philosophy. Having a zone running scheme without a QB who could execute it...I can go on and on.

Sloan deserves all the criticisms listed here, but don't forget that every play call went thru Kelly's earphones. He said, more than once, that he had the final say. As for any poor personnel, Kelly was here for 4 years, i.e. they were all his players

So we have a puncher's chance to win at least one, maybe two of our last four games. It has to be done

Kelly sealed his fate when he promoted Sloan to OC. Was a terrible decision.

This isn't 1974. You can't do that. LSU is contractually obligated to the SEC to provide a football team that will play in the agreed upon bowl game. Do you even Texas Bowl vs Kansas State?

Chicken, do you have any insight as to why Sloan was fired, but Davis was given a pass? Did Woodward torpedo Sloan and support Davis to get Kelly to become insubordinate?

There was no reason to keep him after Underwood flipped last November.

Wat? Who’s responsible for getting your qb ready? Who’s responsible for ensuring he’s doing the right things? Who’s responsible for making changes if it ain’t working? Nuss ain’t calling for crossing routes 3 yds downfield on 3rd and 8. I swear some people think coaching doesn’t matter and they have no accountability for getting these guys ready to play.

Maybe. Or maybe that was the exact play call and it was all Sloan's fault. Guess we'll never know.

Why are you so hesitant to put blame on Sloan? Are y'all personally friends?

Now listening to Hester and Flynn react to the news of Sloan being fired this morning. They were very critical. Hester said that based on the film that he’s watched, it would be hard for almost any QB to play in this offense at a high level. Idk though maybe you know something that they don’t.

Good riddance to Kelly AND Sloan ... keeping Nuss as starter QB is repeating the same insanity of doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Nuss is a statue in the pocket and slow as hell when he attempts to scramble.

MVB can throw the ball and and can scramble giving the defense a whole another element they have to defend.

Bye week gives MVB to get tight with his receivers.

*** I had no idea how much Kelly was disliked by most of the players.Frank Wilson's is respected and liked.

Sadly it’s come to this, but it’s better for the future of the program.

Van Burren needs snaps to prepare for next year.

I would downvote this silly statement but I'm worried it would go on my permanent TD record.

Did you feel bad when he called a 4yd out route before half with no timeouts? Or how about the 3 yd out route on 4th and 5?
