Does this mean Bryce Underwood for sure won’t be coming now?

Odd that this didn't happen last night when Kelly got shite-canned. I guess some discussions went late into the night last night about what the staff needed to look like moving forward.

Yeah it takes a miracle worker to realize that the RB that was averaging 7 yards per carry in the 1st half should get more than one carry in the 2nd half...

Damn, I had forgotten Rattay was even with the team. For as long as he's been a QB in college and the pros, you know he knows offense. But I guess Frank is thinking it can't get any worse by handing the keys to someone that's never called plays before.

Edit: I guess we're not handing the keys to Rattay afterall

The real challenge for creative coaches is changing things to cover for the weaknesses. Hell, roll out the wishbone or the power I formation if that is what is needed. All second and third tier programs have player weaknesses all over the field that they scheme around. For some reason these coaches were unable to do that and unwilling to rotate underperforming players.

why do you think that was Sloan's decision to bench Berry?

He didn’t seem to be very good, but who knows what Kelly dictated in game prep. Also Nuss and the O-Line limited everything, and Kelly wouldn’t sit Nuss when he was hurt, and/or playing bad.

None of those points mean he should’ve been the OC, but it definitely made it harder to dial things up.

When we got down 10 after the punt return, they panicked and got away from the script.

yeah, I won't defend the results...but it is clear the offense has personnel issues at its most important positions...

I would never deny it.

But Van Buren might be able to do it.

Alex Atkins, the former offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Florida State, joined the LSU staff as tight ends coach and run game coordinator in February of 2025.

Atkins joins the Tigers after nearly five years at Florida State where he helped the Seminoles to a 13-1 mark as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach in 2023. Florida State finished the 2023 season ranked No. 5 in the final CFP Poll and played in the Orange Bowl.

He joined the Seminoles in 2020 as offensive line coach for two years. He added offensive coordinator duties in 2022 and in his first season directing the Florida State offense, the Seminoles won 10 games and ranked No. 10 nationally in total offense with 484 yards per game.

During his time with the Seminoles, Atkins produced three first-team All-ACC selections on the offensive line along with the 2023 ACC Player of the Year in quarterback Jordan Travis. Florida State

I actually agree. He had to go if you are making changes but he was tasked with the impossible of having a competent offense with the state of both the QB and Oline play

4 games left, just try to minimize the amount of embarrassment to the program. Decline a bowl game invite.

Wasn’t he the OC? But ok what about the 3rd & call before half with no timeout? Did he not call that? What about the 1st & goal call for a QB draw?

It is amazing that LSU had/has so few staff who have ever called offensive plays. This In itself is negligence.

His play calling was absolute football malpractice

Was it the scheme or the QB? Or maybe both.

OL was quite obviously a major weakness.

That and no WRs comparable to what Burrow and Daniels had.
