It really is a team effort and they were good not great despite the Moore award. How many are on NFL rosters and how many are started from that Oline? The one that was shut on the most might be the only one in the NFL on a practice squad in Deculus.

Are you serious?

Saahdiq Charles - drafted 4th round, 4 years on active NFL rosters (2020-2023), started games every year but fought injuries the whole time.

Adrian Magee - UDFA, never made an active NFL roster.

Lloyd Cushenberry - drafted 3rd round, 5 years on active NFL rosters (2020-present), 5 years as an NFL starter.

Damien Lewis - drafted 3rd round, 5 years on active NFL rosters (2020-present), 5 years as an NFL starter.

Austin Deculus - drafted 6th round, 2 years on active NFL rosters (2022-2023).

So no, Deculus isn’t the only one in the NFL. You had 4 guys who made NFL rosters, 3 guys who became NFL starters (all as rookies), and 2 guys who are still NFL starters.

ETA: To put that into perspective, 32 NFL teams x 5 OL = 160 NFL starting OL.

Average NFL career is about 4 years. So take ~62 P5 teams at the time x 4 years x 5 OL = a pool of roughly 1,240 P5 starters over the previous 4 years.

In other words, you had 3 guys on the 2019 OL who were in the top ~13% of power-5 starters.

Lewis and Cushenberry, being multi-year NFL starters who made it to the second contract, would be ranked even higher than that.

They were a very mediocre OL. Certainly not worthy of the award. He made them look way better than they were.

And stfu

He really didn’t have an amazing OL when he was at LSU either. He won that award for them.

LT: Saahdiq Charles - 4th round draft pick, became a starter in the NFL

LG: Adrian Magee - No pro career (Chasen Hines appeared in 10 games though at this position and was a 6th round draft pick)

C: Lloyd Cushenberry - 3rd round draft pick, beast in college, consistent starter when healthy in the NFL, PFWA All Rookie Team in the NFL

RG: Damien Lewis - 3rd round draft pick, became starter in NFL, PFWA All Rookie Team in the NFL

RT: Austin Deculus - 6th round draft pick, played in 12 NFL games, started in 1

4/5 starters started a game in the NFL at one point and the backup to the 5th position who played a lot also played a good bit in the NFL. You're a moron.

Team owner needs to gift him a competent defense or a trade.

Yeah those 3 OL starting in the NFL that were in 2019 were bad. Two of them signed big second contracts.

?

The OL in 2019 won awards, were part of a record setting offense, 4/5 have started an NFL game, and two of them were on the NFL all-rookie team.

I'm so confused by your comparison unless it was sarcasm.

Something tells me Joe probably got swindled into believing these are actual, "game-used" samurai swords. That said, he has the money to buy them and football players aren't exactly the most intelligent guys in the world. So if his OL thinks they are authentic and thinks it is an awesome gift, then Joe did a good job.

Next year he should buy all of the swords of the Immortals and tell his OL "There can be only one". It would make for an interesting Christmas party
