Around spring 2019, Joe Alleva will no longer be the AD for LSU. I've been hearing about this over the last few weeks that the AD job is wearing him down.

He wants to spend time with his family, he's getting up in age.

He's also lost major support from some of the big wigs in the LSU program.

More to come on this development as we progress throughout the year.

K.

You are pretty much taking an educated guess that LSU football will suck this year and he will be gone because of it. Not much of a reach.

Please read my post again, this has nothing to do with football and a possible shitty season.

Nobody's going to say that out loud but they're tied at the hip and the AD's gotta go first.

It may not, but the timing of it all will be awfully convenient.

And heck, that might have been the ploy all along. The natives (and BOS) were restless with Miles, who was still doing a decent (not great) job.
Joe replaced him with the perfect choice to test the theory that "anyone can win 10 games a year at LSU". He gave his choice a contract that is respectable, all things considered, plenty of leeway, and with a buyout that by 2019 will be manageable if need be.

He then goes away, and leaves the next guy the opportunity to make a longterm coaching hire. And who knows, maybe the Board will then accept that you really do need a decent coach to win big here, and allow the courting and hiring of someone with the right credentials.

I didn't say you could.

I was simply asking where did you hear this? I wasn't trying to be disrespectful.

Is being worn down the reason he hosed the football coach hire?

Alleva isn’t exactly young and is already wealthy. He knows shif is about to hit the fan, and he has a nice place on the coast. If I were his age I would leave Baton Rouge for the coast regardless of whether or not O pisses himself
