LSU’s team is limited in certain areas and JJ coached around it.

I really like the way he and Kelly are managing the staff. They seem to know quickly if a guy doesn’t have it and will save him for the next night. Also plays the matchups well.

Agreed and I also don't think Coach Kelly is getting enough credit. He has done an amazing job with this pitching staff turning it into statistically a top 4 staff in the sec after there were so many questions about it coming in

It’s refreshing to watch our skipper pull the right strings.

He’s won LSU a lot of games this year. Without the guys he brought in, I’m not sure how LSU would’ve won a single SEC series. This team was depleted and his staff has done a very good job of at least making it respectable in year 1

Jay made the game 10 innings then won it by pinch hitting Stevie for Gio

I can agree with this but Dunn is such a low standard to judge against. He was bad, very bad.

Stevie just brings the juice. His AB’s are so much more competitive that Gio’s

Just didn’t like pulling Gervase for the lefty on lefty but it worked. Cooper just gets hit hard and that was a ball he got on strike 3 against Mann…Johnson definitely at least seems to have a feel for this team especially on the pitching side of things…starting to get some big time pinch hitting as well…

Before Doughty's hit LSU was 0-11 RISP this game shouldn't have been close.
Oh, and Big Titties won this game... AGAIN!

Coach did a great job managing LSU to a win tonight, but pulling that lefty pitcher in the 10th inning lost this game for Missouri. We weren’t hitting him tonight, so is he saving him for tomorrow, or just had him on a pitch count?

Didn’t like that either, especially when contrasted with leaving Cooper in to face the righty with 2 on later. They worked, but I disagree that JJ won tonight’s game. Imma give this one to the players.

0-11 with runners on base. 0-2 with RISP.

Missouri left more runners on base than LSU did. Sure, LSU could have done more with their chances, but it was hardly a game that shouldn’t have been close. It played out pretty evenly with similar opportunities on both sides.
