Neither will admit to the coordination between the “collective” and their recruiting big board.

A&M obviously paid all of these players so Saban is right.

Nobody is arguing that A&M didn't pay their players. But Bama absolutely paid/pays for their classes as well. So I think most of us are just wondering why this is a fight that Saban would want to pick.

Sure, it might increase the spotlight on A&M, but it's also likely to increase the spotlight on Bama.

Now I doubt anything will be done about any of it.. but who knows.

Re the issues Saban is bitching about, I could care less, don't like either Saban or Jimbo. What I am interested in is how Saban reacts / handles all the criticism he's going to be facing.Right or wrong. He's never had such negativism, personally & professionally, thrown at him. Jimbo basically, and not very subtly, said Saban's been cheating all these years. Now the national media will be all over this, not the Bama press corp arse lickers.

I hope they end up taking each other down. That would be ideal.

He should have handled it differently though. If Jimbo comes out and says, "look NIL is legal now. Some of our players have NIL deals, but I was not a part of that. We played by the rules."
correct.

When you know you're right, you can simply say it. Expressing some emotion for getting called a cheater is certainly ok, but Jimbo's unhinged press conference was too much.

Almost like he's protesting too much.

I cannot stand Saban, but he nailed this issue. NIL was never meant to be what it's become. It was all about preventing anyone from using a player's NIL to further their own interests without compensating the player.

I choose neither but they are both right. Saban is a straight hypocrite though.

Hope this ends with both of them on probation with only 50 scholarship players for 10 years.

Here’s the thing, Nick would be quiet as a mouse right now if Alabama had NIL rolling like A&M does right now. He’s fricking whining like a baby because he doesn’t have the absolute advantage right now.

And also, he’s right that HE has never paid a player, but we all know how that red elephant club goes…

I want Jimbo to fail

I want Nick to retire

I want to win 4 titles in the next 12 years with Kelly

Kind of funny to see Dumbo play victim. Kept on referring to his players as "17 year old kids" as if that's the age majority or age average. Hope that these 2 programs keep on exposing more and more to the media and I would love to see more drama to this circus.

Actually…. I can see both sides but it’s clear to me that Saban is whining about the new rules because he can’t cut the deals he’s been able to cut. He’s being hypocritical.

I also agree with what Saban is saying since there are some big pitfalls in the current state of things. Kids are taking money and transferring out. There isn’t any limit on how much kids can get…. The method of payment is a bit obscure. The schools role in arranging the deals can be perverted.

Hard to feel sorry for Saban though so i’d fall on the Jimbo side in the end
