All I can say is that his program went down and he could not recover it as soon as Jameis left.

FSU went to two NY6 bowls after Jameis left.

That's partially why they were preseason #4 in 2016 and preseason #3 in 2017.

thats stupid.

just because Alleva was stupid in giving Miles and Orgeron massive buyouts (which is somewhat common at large successful programs, I'll wait for you to show me otherwise), does not mean you need to encourage stupid beahavior and give a good, not great, coach 75 million GUARANTEED. 75 million guaranteed is more money than LSU paid or will pay O, Miles and Saban, combined.

I want to hear these Jimbo haters responses when A&M begins to pass us up.

Some of y’all need to peep those recruiting rankings. That baw is doing work at A&M.

I'll say "congrats on spending 7.5 million dollars a year to be 3rd in the west."

I couldn't imagine the price hikes if they would have signed him for 75 million guaranteed. We already paying ridiculous prices for game tickets, parking, concessions, etc...... IMO the out of control price hikes are the main reason for so many empty seats & yes, the 9-10 win seasons & not even sniffing the playoffs aren't helping out much either

You stupid frickers on the rant is hilarious 98% of us made fun of Texas A&M for signing him to that deal now y’all keep bringing Jimbo up like we missed out on something

People can laugh at A&M for paying $75M for Jimbo while still believing we had a chance to get Jimbo for much less in 2015.

Instead, we ended up with the worst head coach in Ole Miss history.

I still don't understand this argument against Jimbo. He doesn't have to apologize for recruiting and developing a Heisman trophy winning QB. It's not like he never produced really good QBs in the past.

He won Orange Bowls before and after Jameis. Entering last season, he still had won 76% of his games without Jameis. Jimbo hasn't been some bum who happened to luck into a great player for a couple of years. That 2013 team was loaded with NFL talent all over the field.

It is hysterical that the posters that try to deny the pedigree and accomplishments of Jimbo (or Miles for that matter), are usually the same ones that try to build up and defend Orgeron.

These people are so absurd they just aren’t even worth responding to

considering the buyouts LSU officials have given Miles and Orgeron I would have had no problem with the Jimbo investment.

Anyone who disagrees with this is stupid.

$12M buyout for the worst HC in Ole Miss history that no other school in the country would have hired or wanted to hire.

THIS!

I still cant believe Alleva did this. If LSU has a mediocre year, Alleva is fired. With the buyout owed to miles and O, don't see how you could fire O. Alleva will be chopped this year and O the following.

People are stupid if they think Jimbo at A&M won't be a major thorn in LSUs side. He's a good coach at a program with loads of potential. The fan base, facilities, money, and recruits are already there.

You know what else is a stupid gamble? Promoting the defensive line coach, who was the worst coach in Ole Miss history

Agreed, it was a gamble. Since we can't turn back the hands of time, time will tell if the gamble will pay off.

It wouldn’t have cost LSU 75.

The deal was done. It was 5 years 35 mil. Alleva couldn’t keep his goddamn Dept under control and let the media dictate the story.

You know Georgia fired Richt for the same record as Les that year?

No one gave a shite because Georgia’s AD controlled the narrative. Joe did not.

Another sign of a weak, ballsless joke of an AD.
