Sounds to me like Fisher wanted the LSU job, Alleva didn't want to pay him.

Alleva hired Ed Orgeron over Jimbo Fisher.

Not really. It requires you to assume a whole bunch.
This whole "story" is really a non-story.

kind of makes you wonder if FK Alexander is worth that $600K+ annual salary doesn't it?

In November of 15’ Jindal was pretty checked out. JBE was sworn in in Jan of 16’ I don’t blame him for the Jimbo issue, that’s on Alleva and F King. Now JBE does have a problem with paying coaches millions of dollars and has spoken publicly about it, and has said he would like some sort of cap, despite the fact that the state doesn’t fund the salaries of football coaches at LSU.

And 2.5 Million wasn’t the market rate for an Elite DC

Until it was.

Thank God. Jimbo could very well tank over the next few years. That was one stupid contract. Guaranteeing 10 years. Fk that.

he had no choice but to extend him when Miles’ good friend at Arkansas inquired about his interest in moving on if LSU wasn’t going to offer him the stability he deserved.

Gives Miles a raise, extension, and huge buyout prior to 2013 season.

Tries to fire him towards end of the 2014 season.

I've been saying that extension in 2013 is what started it all.

Alleva: willing to pay coaches top dollar to not coach at LSU, and not pay good coaches top dollar to coach at LSU.

Jimbo or shrimp boat captain. Hmmmmm

Those weren't the choices in 2015. And those should not have been the only choices.

But we're cool with paying Les Miles $9 million not to coach here anymore.

Can’t believe he already has a&m as the #2 class currently.

Why cant you believe it.

Texas has a shite ton of great football players to choose from.

He is a NC winning coach

Aggie facilities are improving by the day.

Aggie Alumni are energized and opening their checkbooks.

This was inevitable. In the arms race for coaches, we got blown the frick out of the water.

The buyout was bad for LSU and good for Miles. But that bad deal, doesn't mean we should make a worse deal with Jimbo. 10 years guaranteed? That's a stupid gamble.

Lmao. You stupid mfs. A&m could very well be the laughing stock of college football in a few years. Paying Jimbo 7.5 a year for several years, not to coach.

Ckhiz has a NC too. Miles has one too. Chiz and Jimbo were both fortunate to have game changing QBs. Curly hallman says hi to Brett favre as well. Lol.

He’s very overrated anyway. Better than Kevin Sumlin, but still overrated.

Why? Are you personally paying the coach's salary? I'd rather LSU take a chance spending money on a winner, especially since they're wasting money anyway.

Yeah, he sucked here. Lame run left, screen right, middle to deep incomplete pass

It will be fun with the aggies as usual with defense
