Football I could see Rush sliding in - my guess is Moreau could retire too

I pray to God that Rush does not assume such duties. He may be a good sideline reporter and a heck of a radio station manager, but his voice is unpleasant to say the least.

Please no. Not for football and basketball. He's too much of a know it all for both sports (same reason I would never be able to do play by play) and his excitement is forced...

Now Kevin Ford...

Every time I hear Kevin Ford's voice on the air I get this random urge to want to punch him right in the face.

Point being, for football and basketball, they will HAVE to hire outside. 104.5 has a lot of sports people, but NONE of them are qualified to do play-by-play. Gordy is aware of this as much as any of us and I promise you he won't, nor will any of the other cronies, be on the air calling formations and near/far sides as quickly as Jim could. Hate him all you want, Jim was at least methodical (even in his mistakes).

Would Jordy not be a good fit for this job?

I know nothing about him but he comes off as an insufferable prick every single time he speaks. I can't stand his stupid fricking voice. He makes me like Hawthorne.

I actually wouldn't mind Charlie, but I don't know how good he'd be at basketball

At least they are conducting a nationwide search for a replacement and not promoting Hanigriff. He is about as boring as they come.

Hanigriff as play by play? No way for me. I like him as an analyst. That's it.

Brando (although I don't like him personally) would be a decent choice.

Put me in the "I will miss Jim" camp...

His voice wa fine. His calls were fine. His knowledge was fine.

It was the negativity that flowed from him with every mistake the Tigers made that was always he downer. I could not listen to him long because I would get so depressed. Not every play goes the Tigers way. But, his commentary on how terrible the Tigers were doing on a consistent basis is not what I want to hear. I don't want constant sunshine pumping, but just a little balance would be good. If LSU is ever losing, I feel like I am attending a funeral with him.

Other than that, he does a good job and will be missed.

Absolute. You no not from whence you speak. Him is the best in the business. Does all 3 sports too. He will be impossible to replace. So you heard a good call by an ohio state announcer. Big whipty shite
