Pete Buttigieg has been on FoxNews many, many times. Even Bernie Sanders has appeared on FoxNews.
The Burrows are not going to be criticized for appearing on FoxNews.

O was trying to sell his book when he was making those media rounds. That was the only thing in his mind at that point

Let me guess, if this Burrow segment had aired on CNN you'd be first in line to swallow Don Lemon's children.

Jimmy Burrow watches The Five. Just when I thought my appreciation for the Burrows couldn’t get any higher. These people are solid!

I enjoyed the interview. I really don't care on what network it would have been done. They've probably done a good bit of media.

Jim and Robin Burrow just had a great segment on Fox News

Goddam you would’ve thought he was Hitler from some people for going on a fricking news network
And you know they wouldn’t have said a word if he was on CNN
CNN wouldn't have even thought about doing this story...

Is that supposed to be a defense? The only thing on his mind was slinging his book? Maybe that was the issue. Had he had the team and the next season on his mind maybe he'd still be coaching.

That is because Saban is a grifter. A smart one but a grifter none the less.
As a college football coach, you have one job. Win games. That's it. All of your actions, all the time need to be viewed through the lens of "will this help or hurt my ability to win games" and I don't think O thought that far ahead, he was just trying to sling his book on national TV.

quote:The sad fact of that was Orgeron accepted the invite to go on Fox News because it was about having a season that year and not cancelling for Covid.
I don't disagree that it was way overblown but I do think that O should have been more aware of how his actions would be perceived by the black kids he coached.
Again, I don't think he did anything actually wrong but going on Fox News during all that turmoil wasn't a great decision. He had A LOT to lose (which he did) and very little to gain.
Before people burn me at the stake, I am just saying that I don't think the Saban would make that decision knowing it could negatively affect him in recruiting and with his current team.
The other sad fact is only one cable news channel wanted to talk about having a season while the others wanted to celebrate Michigan and the BigX cancelling.
As defending national champion he wanted to talk about playing football.
Others made it into something other than that.
