She will be listed as a JR according to one article I read, so yeah, she will have 2 years of eligibility.

I have one on the AAU circuit now, and in no galaxy would I allow her to play for Neighbors. Which sucks, because I want her to go to Fayetteville.

So what is the deal with Neighbors? He is quirky and awkward, but seems like a decent enough guy. Why the hate? (From the players who keep transferring)

I just think he isn’t a great coach. His system/style of play is severely flawed. Zero emphasis to rebound or defend, jack up a 100 3 pointers a game. I don’t know anyone that hates him personally to my knowledge

He can’t coach. Period. Or he just doesn’t want to. His style is to play minimal defense, jack up shots within the first few seconds of the shot clock. Rinse, repeat. He is simply living off of a miracle Final Four run at Washington. Which is what got him hired at Arkansas.

I wonder if that means she will be a redshirt with a couple years of eligibility remaining rather than a senior with only one year.

You cannot tell what rule still apply but at worse she would have five years to play four seasons under traditional rules. So at least two years here. It does not matter why she did not play this year.

Jersey has 2 years eligibility. She spent 2 seasons at AR, she did not play 2023-24 season. AR coach said it was amicable, Jersey's decision. She waited until now to enter the transfer portal. She will be a redshirt Jr at LSU.

Does it mean that either HVL or Reese leaving for WNBA?

Wolfenbarger coming aboard does not equal causation that either of those two are leaving. We will need several pieces from the portal whether they go or stay.

But let’s look at HVL’s situation in particular. CKM has learned her lesson this year and will be looking hard for a playmaking PG in the portal similar to Khayla Pointer or Alexis Morris. No more trying to convert shooting guards. And no, Poa is not near good enough to be the starting QB on a national championship team.

So next season you will have: New PG, HVL, Flau’jae Johnson, and Mikaylah Williams. One of those four is going to have to sit and none of the returning three are going to sit.

So the logical answer is that HVL moves on. She’s not coming back next year to be a sixth man.

Always use the length. We’re not particularly long until Rosario comes in.

Reese is gone regardless

HVL wouldn’t get drafted if she left

This is what I figure too. It just didn’t work here and it’s honestly probably best for both parties for her to leave.

I see this differently - if CKM brings in a true point guard from the portal, that allows Hailey to move back to shooting guard where her best skills can be utilized. This also gives her a chance to work into WNBA material if she improves her quickness. And yes, someone will not be a starter, but it would allow a good rotation of 4 strong players (or more if Kent or Velez make strides in the off season). This also gives CKM the opportunity to run 4 out and 1 in if the post players are in foul trouble, injury, etc.

Do you really think Mikaylah Williams or Flau’jae Johnson will be content to come off the bench? That ain’t gonna happen. One of those two will transfer if it comes to that.

If she only scores 5/6 points a game I hope she is good on defense.

Do people forget already? Carson and Poole came to LSU with stats just as similar…

And jersey has way more talent and potential than both

True. But I was referring specifically to the backcourt situation as it related to being too crowded for HVL—assuming CKM brings in a playmaking PG. I cannot believe Coach will try to run it back with HVL and Poa at the point.
