I don’t understand how the average NFL HC salary is 6.6 mil a year and BK was making roughly 10 mil a year. Just think about that.
Woody defenders don’t even consider that player pay will only increase and that will be the case even after a salary cap is instituted in the future. Paying these coaches these fully guaranteed contracts is foolishness.

I didn't know the average NFL HC salary so kudos for posting that. Having said that, you are comparing apples and oranges. The AVERAGE NFL HC salary is 6.6 million yet you quote Kelly's at 10 million. Kelly last I checked was 8th highest out of like 140 FBS coaches. So if you checked the AVERAGE FBS coaches' salaries my guess it would be far, far below 6.6 million...comparing apples to apples.
I 100% agree about guaranteed money for coaches OR players at either NFL or college level. There should be more "performance" money but unfortunately then we get into watering down the schedule, cheating in recruiting, etc to meet those performance standards. Landry's only decent statement was "metrics" but the devil is in the details on that for sure.

I voted for him. Been a republican all my life. It doesn’t mean I can’t call a spade a spade. Landry is making it about him and not the LSU football program. I have no issues with putiing Woodward on the sidelines but you don’t air out the dirty laundry in public. Tier 1 candidates are going to be turned off by his antics whether you like it or not.

Landry said Woodward isn't making a decision because Woodward will be fired before that decision is made.
