Jaray was wide open that whole play, Daniels just didn’t recognize it fast enough. (Might not have been his first read) I think once JD saw how open he was he just threw it up as fast as he could which led to an under throw.

Dude, I think the majority has blamed JD for his struggles. Maybe some here or there acted blind. But I think the majority understands what we have in JD. Both the good and the bad. There’s nothing wrong with being happy about the good.

Aren't they all in need of continued progress? Stop nitpicking and get behind the kid. He's showing that he is capable as time goes on and he grows more comfortable. Kid is finally learning how to be a qb, not a runner.

That idiot was the last coach to beat Bama in Tiger Stadium, one of only 2 to beat Saban back to back, and maybe the only coach with 3 wins vs Saban at Bama.

He did. It doesn't change the fact that if the safety looks for the ball, he undercuts the throw and it's a pick. Period. Fact!!!

He was not double covered. Underthrown and late for sure.

What I said is true. He needs to read better and throw better.

This is a key point. The only thing we know is the pass was underthrown. We don't know if he should have seen him earlier. For all we know he was supposed to be reading the opposite field corner.

Overall he was seeing the field much better vs. Ole Miss than he was a few weeks ago.

Jesus dude.

We’re really complaining about a TD??

3 weeks ago, people were complaining about how he doesn’t throw into coverage, only to wide open receivers.

One thing is for sure, tRant will always find something to complain about.

It's a message to his receivers. "I trust you getting the ball. Here it is" Positive chemistry.

That was just a stellar effort by Jaray. A QB MUST get that kind of effort from his boys.

It was under the thrown

Which is the same thing that can be seen multiple times on any Sunday. If you watch some pro football, you will see overthrows, under throws, ints, pic 6s, fumbled snaps and on and on from the best quarterbacks to play the game.

I think that most of us realize that JD and the rest of the team has to continue to step up their play in the next few games, but to nitpick an underthrown pass that resulted in a touchdown, one of 11 accounted for by JD in the last 2 wks it’s pretty freaking unbelievable.

See ball, get ball. If it’s in the air, it’s ours.

Honestly, that throw could’ve been a result of their “players only” meetings. Receivers could’ve told him if you throw it up in the air, we will catch it or nobody will.

I just can’t comprehend someone actually complaining about a TD throw when OP probably can’t even throw a football 34 yards.

Not complaining about a TD, but how the QB is playing. Throws like that are usually incomplete or intercepted, but I guess you just don't get this. JD5 throws often like an average HS QB.

The long pass (34 yds) td was not that good. Jenkins was double cover, pass was thrown late and not well thrown. It was under thrown and amazingly JJ was able to split the 2 defenders, run back to catch it, and score

It's exactly what people screamed he should have been doing. Even if it's a bad pass the percentage of those completed for long gains or those that draw a PI call is too great to not take that chance.

You're not breaking news here that he isn't perfect and sure, he will make mistakes BUT stating there is a BUT within his progression is kind of silly.

This is 100% false. The PI rate is higher than the INT rate in general and when you have freak-show WRs like LSU it's even higher.

Look at that TD pass to Jaray. It was damn lucky. Daniels did the right thing airing that ball, but his technique is woefully lacking. The ball came out of his hand like a duck. That thing was so underthrown because it wobbled so badly. That shows his technique is not good. He rushed the throw and it came out fluttering badly. Look closely and you’ll see. It is very fortunate we got a TD on that play.

However, he has improved quite a bit
