I'm reading a book and i liked a line in it.
Always start simple, have a plan that can't fail. But also have a 1/100 plan that if it works you'll look like a God as well as a 1/20 and a 1/5 plan...this was the 1/100 shot...it didn't work so you move on.

Disagree. He will land a very good pitching coach. He isnt gonna be handcuffed if he cant land the top 2 or 3 guy out there.

Everyone knew Thomas was a long shot, but worth asking. Lots of outstanding recruiters out there.

I agree, hey no one knows what the reason for J Bob's final decision was. Maybe his wife didn't want to move or he didn't in any case they have other great options like Tulo maybe.
The most important hire will be the pitching coach as that's the hire we need to get right!
I completely trust in coach Johnson with these hires as this when all said and done will be an awesome strong staff.
