Jindal also took state government out of the stone ages from an IT perspective. Prior to 2008, most agencies still relied upon green screen technology. The few modern servers they had couldn’t interface with the old technology, let alone with other agencies or the Div of Admin. He changed all of that, spending a ton in the IT front. The group in charge made sure it could all interface , then he stated a statewide IT agency to deal with all of it going forward. So , next time you buy a fishing license from your phone , pay your car reg online , use your online DL or otherwise do any online business with the state than BJ. Perfect example : 2005 and 2008 post Katrina, Rita and Gustava all disaster apps had to be performed on paper. The fraud and administrative cost involved was astronomical. It’s all been done on a web based platform Since 2012, which links in with the adept of Labor and Dept of Revenue databases to insured the integrity of the income/financial information provided.

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm. Jindal’s mom ran the LWC IT department ...and they’re still recovering from DOL audit findings from the 2010. There are several agencies that started modernizing IT systems after Jindal left office.
