JBE: Appoints 4 New members to the LSU BOS!

Finally it would appear that the LSU BOS is now fully controlled by loyal JBE appointees, meaning that the prior members appointed by Jindal have been replaced.
Does this mean Jay Dardenne now has the inside track to be the next LSU President?

Yes. Expect the BOS to make changes to the position and have him hired and on the job by end of the year.

As are all appointees to whichever Governor that appointed them.

Considering how bad Jindal's appointees tried to frick the school, this is good news.

I know
Was just poking fun at that last little bit added in at the very end of the article. Like JBE, or any Governor, would appoint someone who really disliked him.

The new members include:
Patrick C. “Pat” Morrow of Opelousas, an attorney and partner with Morrow, Morrow, Ryan, Bassett, and Haik. Morrow will represent the 5th Congressional District.
Raymond R. “Randy” Morris of Monroe, owner of West Carroll Health Systems, will represent the 5th Congressional District.
Jim M. Bernhard Jr. of Baton Rouge, founder of Bernhard Capital Partners, will represent the 6th Congressional District.
Collis B. Temple Jr. of Baton Rouge, chief executive of Harmony Center and C.T. Construction, will serve as an at-large member.
LSU board appointments are traditionally among the most coveted. Terms are for six years and staggered. The governor appoints 15 of the 16 members. The 16th member is a student.

Pat is a good man. Very generous in his community. He supports Republicans and democrats, but as a trial lawyer definitely for JBE.

He rammed through charter schools so that at least half the black kids in New Orleans and Baton Rouge have a shot at a decent education
What has JBE done? Other than expanding Medicare. Name one thing that he has done

So you named one thing Jindal does in 8 years and one thing Edwards has done in 4 and 1/2 and then want me to respond?

We need to get rid of this entire system of governors appointing loyalists to the flagship’s BOS
As much as Huey did for LSU he apparently had no conception of a world in which he didn’t exist.

Ok. I’ll play.
Jindal passed serious reform for public officials. First thing they did coming out of the gate
Jindal eliminated the Charity Hospital System. This along with other belt tightening allowed us to have 25% fewer state employees by the end of his term. How much is that currently saving the state and will save is over the next 40 years?
He wasn’t perfect and his second term was bad, but the guy did actually improve the state

Praise the Lord! Bobby Jindal was probably the worst governor we ever had and that is saying something.
