Intelligent fans do.

You aren't winning shite of any significance with the anemic vertical passing game that Jayden Daniels brings to the table.

Defenses have enough film now to shut him down.
80 yard passing game outputs against the likes of Auburn and Arkansas aren't going to cut it.

I think we all appreciate what he accomplished this season with respect to expectations, but it's time we look to the future, not someone looking to pad his stats hanging around for another year. He's hit his ceiling and what you see is what you've got.

This fricking fanbase. We have a highly functional qb who needs to improve in a area who beat Bama and went 9-3 with a chance for 10-3 in his first year and some of yall want him gone. Want him gone so we can start Howard (who has not played a meaningful down) or Nuss who played 1 decent half of football. Typical

Can Jayden improve with an extra year of CFB? Yes.

Will that improvement be enough to increase his draft stock? Not by much. He is currently a late day two or early day three pick.

Yep.

People are going to pick out extreme cases like Joe Burrow, but the reality is that some draft predictors are pretty bullish on JD right now, and next year's QB class may be stronger.

If he has a good bowl game I think he's gone.

The only players on that list he definitely would not pass up is Williams and Maye.

6 Jalen Milroe

Jalen Milroe is not going to be a better QB prospect unless he improves A LOT throwing the ball, like way more than Daniels. If he switches to running back, I could possibly see him getting drafted higher than Daniels. Based on what I'm hearing, Alabama fans don't even expect Milroe to start for them at QB next year

Considering boutte is coming back, Anderson just committed and that they voted Jayden team mvp, this comment makes you look like a mouth breathing imbecile

I hate using analogies to other player/teams because they are meaningless. But in 2017 LSU went 9-4 with Danny Etling at QB in Ed O’s first season as head coach. He was replaced by Joe Burrow who up until that point hadn’t played any meaningful football either. Looking back what would you say to someone who would want Etling back over an unproven Burrow?

Which is the same exact thing that happened for Burrow and Pickett. Neither got bigger, stronger, or faster ahead of their final seasons. They just put up huge numbers.

or, Burrow found himself in a completely new offense in 2019 that properly utilized and maximized his skillset. Daniels didn't have the same problem this year that Burrow did in 2018.

And we really need to stop using the exception as the rule when projecting what Daniels has to reasonably gain next year. Burrow is not the norm whatsoever.

Hendon Hooker stands in the pocket under pressure and delivers the ball downfield with anticipation. They’re not the same type of QB.

Every running QB would be screwed with the kind of injury Hooker got this season.

We have some savvy scouts here. How many here advised Joe Burrow to leave at one time or another?

Tell me again what were Joe Burrow’s Heisman odds after the 2018 season?

2000-1?
