Jayden Daniels says he’s going give his receivers more opportunities for 50-50 balls

Daniels acknowledged to reporters that Kelly has told him to take more risks, that he has to give LSU’s receivers more opportunities and acknowledged that he needs to lead them more with his passes. Says that he wants to become one of the top quarterbacks in the country and will work harder to become one. Predicted that LSU’s passing will be better vs Tenn this weekend.
TTT - Lets hope and pray that it’s much better. Love the character of Daniels, acknowledged his faults. Nothing wrong with having high goals, it’s his preparation that needs to be far more elevated. I know that LSU will fight Tenn to the end, Tigers might just pull this off.

Daniels is a smart quarterback, he’s realizing he needs to trust his receivers more and they need to be trusted to make the catch. Hopefully this weekend is when it all clicks!

I just hope the coaches aren't just telling him to throw the ball up for grabs. I hope they are teaching him to be able to identify when his receivers have 'leverage' on the defender and throw the ball so that only his receiver can possibly catch it. He also has to be taught how to throw in the gaps his receiver is running 'into' and not wait to throw in that gap after the receiver has arrived there....it is much too late at that point.

If only it were that easy. Especially in the SEC
SEC defenses are showing their hand, they are scared to blitz Daniels because of the threat he poses running. If he can learn to take more shots downfield into single coverage and LSU receivers make the catch, it can become a deadly combination.

Punting isn't the end of the world with the way the defense has been playing. It's been good that he has no INTs. Hopefully he means he'll throw the ball to the guys who have been open every game. Not meaning he'll throw it up for grabs.
