I’d like some 50-99% balls.

Receiver is open but Daniels is scared to throw it because it’s not 100%

I dont think I've seen a single poster question his intellect. The man is smart.

He's just not as capable with his arm as his feet. Glad to see that pressure has been applied to him. This is how you grow. In CBK we trust

It happens to the best of em. It is never good to do it in your own end.

Tennessee has a stout DL, only giving up 97.8 yards rushing per game, but that could be due to their poor schedule where teams had to pass more because they were down multiple scores.

Ball St: 43 passes, 27 rushes
Pitt: 44 passes, 38 rushes but Pitt’s main RB ran for 154. (4 sacks in those rushes)
Akron: 45 passes, 24 rushes (4 sacks in those rushes)
Florida: 44 passes, 42 rushes (141 total rushing and Richardson had 17 attempts)

Their two one score games were more balanced than the two MAC blowout games.

i just hope all of this pressure to push the ball downfield doesn't lead to a bunch of turnovers.

This could be a disaster. Mentally, he feels like he has to throw into coverage and let his receivers make the play. Not the right time to do this against TN. I see a couple of picks coming. You cannot give TN extra chances to have the ball and or chance to score. If it is not broken do not fix it. We should be 5-0 right now, and our running game is coming on. We need to run the ball more to run the clock. TN cannot score if they do not have the ball.

On the surface, this seems like a good thing, but if he's not confident that he can make a decent throw then disaster awaits.

I don't want him throwing up drive killers just because he thinks he has to.

It sounds good on the surface. But it's not something you can just make yourself do. Being hesitant to throw isn't something he's consciously doing. I would much rather see the coaches scheme for the player they have instead of trying to get the player to fit into what they want. I don't care how much you want him to be a pocket passer, he's just not that. So why not accept it and start doing more RPO's with more shorter routes. Maybe triple layer routes where he can see all 3 in front of him.

One thing is for certain, he has to be free to run. Everyone talks about how he's great in 2m or less. It's because half those plays he's taking off. And change out Taylor for Bech as the check down man.

Someone mentioned our WR Boutte. I have said all along that he drastically over rated. He can take a easy 15 yard pass and make great runs after the catch, but if you think he is going to make circus type, professional type catches , well that ain't happening. He is no where close to our pass WR's who turned professional. He is just a great athlete. Go back and review his games against Florida where he had outstanding games and you can see what I am referring too. He couldnt hold, Justin Jefferson, Chase, or Terrance Marshall's jock strap. You guys get so excited over what the media states about Players .

just hope the coaches aren't just telling him to throw the ball up for grabs. I hope they are teaching him to be able to identify when his receivers have 'leverage' on the defender and throw the ball so that only his receiver can possibly catch it. He also has to be taught how to throw in the gaps his receiver is running 'into' and

Kelly has told him multiple times on the sideline to throw the ball bavk shoulder.

While this is good to hear, he also have to be more accurate than he has been to make the "50/50" throws more in favor of the receiver. If he is off on his throws, like he has been, then this becomes a huge issue and it becomes more like 30/70 throws.

I'm not sure how he becomes more accurate in 6 days but I sure hope he does..

CMP / ATT / CMP% / YDS / AVG / TD / INT
2019 205 338 60.7 2,943 8.7 17 2
2020 49 84 58.3 701 8.3 5 1
2021 197 301 65.4 2,380 7.9 10 10
2022 89 131 67.9 915 7.0 6 0

We've all seen the stats before. Freshman year was solid. Yes, it wasn't against the SEC and more importantly is was a long time ago. But, it's not like he needs to do something he's never done.

Would be great to see him take a deep shot on the first 1st down. 1 deep completion per quarter could put TN on their heels and really open up more short stuff.
