its not just him, the rest of the team has been on a mental plateaux since they beat Bama. Hopefully they can get back on track this week.

Definitely regressed the last 3 weeks. He has played hard for us this year and for this I am grateful but Daniels is not the QB for us next year. He is who he is at this point in his career.

Not to mention he had 1 touchdown pass vs UAB. All those deep balls he threw, the receivers had to wait on the ball. Straight garbage

He had a good three game stretch, but this is who he is, unfortunately.

Its very obvious at this point that he is an extremely streaky passer. The problem is, if he is passing poorly it seems to affect his overall ability at QB. He begins to make incorrect decisions on the zone read and breaks from the pocket too quickly when his first read is covered.
The good news is, when he is on, he is damn good. Hopefully the solid Daniels returns for the postseason.

I got torched in the off-season for saying the kid is streaky and will win you some games you shouldn't and lose you some you shouldn't.
I will say - I was wrong though, I thought he would continue to sling it and have quite a few turnovers. I had no idea he was shell shocked from his 10 int year

True. We did score 36 points, not enough to win both but we did win one of those. JD5 needs to improve as a pocket passer. Maybe if he CAN’T run, he will be more aggressive throwing it. Someone else will need to step up running the ball.

never have seen this draft grade thrown around anywhere. If daniels came out for the draft for 2023, he'd probably go in the 5th-7th round if I had to guess and would be looked at as a project QB.
