Les Miles. That's the biggest difference. And it is a big rapey one.

How do you know what he's capable of? You haven't even seen him take a snap yet at LSU.

Anthony Jennings may be the worst QB to put on an LSU uniform

In 2014 he had 11 TD 7 INT with attempts 227 attempts

Still better than JD 10 TD 10 INT

On 301 attempts in 2021

Context matters here too though. JD's talent around him was absolute shite tier while AJ had a super talented LSU team around him.

Lmfao, I’ll never get over how some people still don’t know what an RPO is.

Anthony Jennings

There’s a name. At least Harris had a cannon for an arm. Imagine what that 2014 team could’ve done with a remotely competent starter at quarterback

If we’re comparing him to those two, we’re beyond F-ed

Just stats without watching the games is pretty dumb. Did he make bad throws, or did the wr's drop the ball. did he score more on his feet, did wr's often get stopped at the goal line so most of the scores were punching it in. Were the picks tipped, were they terrible throws. Admittedly I only watched one game of his from last year out of curiosity as I'm not paid to evaluate , but he was good. Made some good throws and big plays. If our coach that we just gave a 100 million dollar contract thinks he is the best, you have to give the kid a chance.

He's not really comparable to those 2 it's just that LSU has so many shite tier QBs that's the closest some are coming up with. He's more comparable to Auburn's Nick Marshall than anyone to me and they ended up with a great season under him.

I see so many similarities

Ahh because they're all black? Because their games are otherwise unsimilar and this is a a ridiculous thread.

He was still playing PAc 12 defenses while Harris and Jennings were playing SEC defenses

I bet you loved Joe burrow before he got here. Which had 0 reason to believe he was gonna be nearly as good as he is now.

Frankly, the comparisons are not entirely fair but there are some similarities. Daniels has more experience as a starter coming in than both Jennings and Harris. However, Daniel’s (stats & W/Ls) record (your record is who you are) did decline after a great freshman start. Harris was clearly not ready to start when he did, he was coached but in the games….not good. Especially Wisconsin. I hope Daniels or Nussmeier will be better prepared. They will be coached well but live games in the SEC are NOT the same as practice.

Throw Russell Shepards name in there too for the trifecta while you’re at it

I do see the comparison, not a good one. For the ones who say QB’s improve. I say a significant amount don’t. JD did not from his freshman year to his junior year and that’s not an opinion.

Actually I think Brandon Harris was a pretty high-level recruit.

Jayden Daniels completed 60 percent, 58 percent, and 65 percent in his 3 season at Arizona State.

The other two you mentioned barely completed 50 percent of their passes. Also Jayden Daniels is a better athlete than both of them.
