JD on Pardon My Take podcast, “You still going to have to beat an LSU team with Jayden Daniels, we going to see”

This mean he playing some in the game? Or has this been confirmed already.

Don’t know how to link only that part of the video.

I heard that too. He did walk it back a little later though. Personally, I came away a little more optimistic that we see him in limited capacity vs not at all.

Have no problem if he sits it out.

Also wouldn’t mind seeing a rotation with him and Nuss like last year’s bowl game.

Get JD for one last time but also get enough of Nuss to preview what he can do in 24

As of now, I think him, Nabers, & BTJ are all planning to play. That could change.

JJ Watt also made a comment about Wisconsin having to play against the Heisman winning qb in their bowl game

You have to assume everyone is going to play, until they announce they won’t.

I’m the opposite. I assume all the players entering the draft will sit until they announce they are playing.

For awhile I have believed that JD5 and Malik would play enough to get Malik the record. So call it 1 or 2 drives haha.

Could see us playing it the same way we did against Purdue last year.

Daniels also has a chance to be the only player in SEC history to pass for 4K+ and run for 1K+ in the same season. He’s 188 passing yards away from that achievement.

I wish he would suit up, play a series, then after the first play of his second series, send in Nuss and have a changing of the guards. Same for Nabors and BTJ after Nabors breaks the record

Yeah, fugg that! I'd like to see him play until the game is not in doubt. Something tells me that next season I'll see more of Nuss than I want to see.

He has accomplished all he can achieve for himself and LSU. One bad play and he could ruin his chance of having a promising NFL career.
He is fearless and exposes his body to potential injury on every play.
Boutte's injury dropped him from a first round to 6th round, costing him millions.
Why take the risk for nothing.

Meh, plenty of players get injured in practice and I assume Jayden will play in the Senior Bowl.

Can't live life in fear.

If Jayden, Nabers or Thomas Jr. play in this game that speaks volumes to what kind of culture Kelly is building here.

Yes, he's pretty close to 5000 total yards

I think we see him in some capacity with Nuss getting similar time as he did against Purdue

I don't see Daniels taking off and trying to run the ball all day but a game plan that puts him at minimal risk of injury would be ideal

So many people seem aggressive with this “he should not risk it!” advice / opinion. JD5 will do what he wants to do. If the question is what do I want, I’d love JD5 to play 3 series or the first quarter, score at least one touchdown and get Nabers the record and then call a timeout pre-snap at the start of the 2nd quarter and sub off JD, Malik and BTJ like a curtain call in basketball. If these guys are still playing in the 2nd half I will be uneasy about it…
